Ranking up..

Is my first time to encounter this one. I have use a code to have emoticons in a reply, suddenly an error came up. Says that, i need to be rank 200 to use the command. How to rank up? is it the discussion you made make your rank up? or is it the replies that you comment in the discussion? @.@
