Ever gone camping with bonfire in a beach?

Anawangin Cove - Camping at Anawangin

I'm just so excited! We've made plans of going to Anawangin Cove, it's an island with a great beach and blue water this coming April and I'm just so excited for it! If everything goes right, we'll be renting camping tents and other materials so that we can have a bonfire at night, cook some food, and all those things we can do at the beach! Of course, swimming is a given since we're at the beach but it's the camping and bonfire I'm excited for! Me and my college buddies have done bonfires at the beach near the school but the beach wasn't really a tourist spot, it's just a regular beach and our bonfire wasn't really special. We didn't even have tents then. We just had something to sprawl on and sleep under the stars. This time, if everything goes well, me and my office mates will do it properly.

Good for u! I've always like such campfire thing because it's fun and interactive It's a nice way to bond among friends, sharing secrets and talking about anything under the moon. Together with the relaxing atmosphere, it's the best way to chill out. Not to forget the beautiful scenery that comes with it too.. hehe My last camp fire like that was about 6 years ago and i really missed it

How can you see the beautiful scenery at night, Kun???? Because for sure, you won't be having a bonfire at day.

We didn't go camping so to speak on the beach. We had a campfire out on the beach in the middle of the night. It was our anniversary and my boyfriend wanted to do something really special for me. He even kissed me under the moonlight. It was so romantic. It was the sweetest thing he could have done for me.

Beach - An Awesome Place
The attached photo of Anawangin Cove is truly beautiful. I hope I could visit this place one of these days too. I understand now why you are that excited. It is an awesome place! If the beach is as beautiful as that it will really be very exciting to camp and set up bonfire at night. It's wonderful to to sleep under the moon and the stars. We do that when we stay overnight in our favorite beach. And here's an excerpt from http://abouthomeandfamily.blogspot.com/2010/06/today-is-4th-day-of-june-2010-in-this.html. This tells about my the wonderful experience of sleeping on the mat by the beach under the moon and the stars: (I hope you don't mind me sharing this.) ".... one of those good memories is the one spent in the beach with my beloved family and chosen friends. Sleeping on the shore with only an old-fashioned mat to protect our back from the sand is one thrilling experience of a lifetime. The sounds of the waves went louder as the night went deeper but surprisingly those did not disturb us at all for they were like unique melodies of the night. The gentle moonlight was so endearing. It was like a big lampshade in the midst of that dark night. It was one big assurance that God was watching us all through the dimly lighted surrounding. With that, we all slept tightly on that lovely night for there was nothing to fear." I wish you had a wonderful time camping!

Not at all. It's always nice to read about other people's similar experiences.

Anawangin! We've been planning to go "roughing it" there but never had the time to do so. The last time I went for a bonfire camp is in Zambales. Is it Potipot Island? I'm really not too sure of the place but I'm aware it's in Zambales :P We brought canned goods as food. We do have tents though but since the night was clear, we decided to sleep outside :D

I love going camping in my tent and did more of this sort of thing before I had my children. I have camped in Australia and New Zealand. I have also done loads of camping in Europe. I adore camping by the sea and in the countryside. I haven't ever had a bonfire of my own. I have though seen a big bonfire on 5 November for that special event. Also that night we had fireworks. I hope that you will really very much enjoy your camping trip. Good luck with it.

Well, I never did it with a tent! But living near the California coast I got to experience a few nice bonfires on the beach. Actually, I like a bonfire anywhere. Forests are nice for bonfires, too, as long as one is careful and keeps them away from the trees.

Bonfires yes, on a beach, no. We'd have to have a permit. Small cook fire contained in a small area, yes. But not on the beach. They like the beaching for sunbathing here and for carry on and carry out picknicks. Fires they want away from the beaches so people don't burn their feet on hot coals unknowingly.

That makes sense. Dangers can be avoided with that rule. I wonder if we will also need a permit to make a bonfire at Anawangin. The contact person we were coordinating with did not say anything about a permit.

Oh, how I love and how I miss such fun It's been a long time when I last experienced this bonfire at the beach. Yes,I remember my school days. My classmates and me always do this every weekends. I studied at the place where beaches are just near and we love such experience. Having fun and swimming - gosh-I really miss this

I've tried this before. It was a very memorable experience. I like it that when I turn back from the bonfire, my face feels the cold night air and when i face the bonfire again, i feel warm. Camping, especially with friends, is real fun. Don't expect you would be able to sleep, what with talkative friends around us all the time Have fun on your trip!

For some of us, there won't be any sleeping to happen.
