Frustration

This has been an horrid week for me. Let's go back to last Saturday. I woke and checked my email--my work schedule was there and I got 36 hours (including drive time), so that was good. Wasn't thrilled working with the team though. Got home to be called by my supervisor, who changed my work schedule and cut ten hours from me! Dislike! Tuesday, I get lost, even with a GPS and battery is DOA at lunch. Go home and no computer (still). Tried reaching out to kid--she has new insurance card and unemploynent fike with PIN-no answer. Wednesday, the boss makes a surprise visit and promises two coworkers (FTers) he'll guarantee them 40 hours--guess that's where MY hours went. Still no respomse from kid. :( Thursday-computer here, but it doesn't work right. And kid appears to have gone into hiding. Friday, the abscess under my root canal goes into OD and I sleep most of the day away. I'm frantic now because if I don't put my hours in by 9 PM, I don't get paid. And the window to file for unemployment is fast closing too. I fall asleep after a short fight with J. And now today, a week later. Still no computer. Still no kid. Freaking out because I don't have enough money to buy meds. I can't take this anymore! I feel as though everyone has let me down this week. Have you ever felt the same way?

Well see it this way, you have had the hardest part. So what will you do next? sit there and only look back or fight for your rights? See who can help you out with the meds! Ask! You already have a big NO. If it bothers you, you have less hours tell your boss since not those who wait till it's there turn will be rewarded. Decide to make yourself happy, no matter how small it is. You deserve it and it will surely make you feel better. PS look forward, take step by step it will keep you away from a lot of stress. and yes I have many times like these too but I prefer to ignore them and not let them rule my life or ruin my day or week.

I can get new meds, but I've got to wait until Wednesday (payday!); just not having the one is sending me over the edge. I was scheduled more hours this week (coming up), but less than usual. I do have a second job, but need to accept them; too much info to view on my phone. And now that the sun is out, I feel a thousand percent better. I think it's just having all these bad things happen at once was the last straw.

Hi, Scorpio, mind those words of WakeUpKitty, I like them very much: "Decide to make yourself happy"! It's time to do it.

Fannitia--they are good words to live by, that's for sure. I'm feeling better now, although it is for different reasons than what I was upset about before. Things to look forward to!!!

So sorry. I hope you feel better and I hope your schedule works out. I know what it is like to have your kid disappear. My older kids no longer live at home and they often forget about me. If I don't text them I don't hear from them. I do know the feeling. I have had it so often lately. Friends & family have let me down. I think the best thing to do is struggle through it and just remember that when someone wants something from you.

I can see that you are truly in a difficult situation right now. I remember those times when I was in that similar scenario and it wasn't good. However, I'd always believed that everything is temporary. It will pass, but you have to do something positive to change the situation. Start looking for other work opportunities right now.

I believe that too. Actually, I have a second job, and another job opportunity, but that will take some major changes before it happens. But I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the future--that's what keeps me going.

I'm sorry about all this. There is no use to say some words without being able to help. But I'd like to tell you don't give up. I've been through hard moments too and I try to make a change in my life. But I don't know where to start. I worry about my work and the money too. I have a spare job but this month thee was nothing for me. I spend the month waiting but today I decided to call the person who gives me the work and ask about the situation. You should do the same, just ask your boss about your working hours and try to explain that you need them. And don't stay at home all the day. When I'm frustrated I go out and just walk, it helps a lot. Unfortunately now it's impossible to do this - we have a bitter winter and it is very cold.

Hi! Its nice that at least you are able to verbalize your frustrations. Its a form of outlet.Work can be very frustrating at times. Although I am quite confuse with your story but then I hope that you will be able to go through it. I have felt the same way sometimes and I just want to cry because there's nothing I can do. But as time passes by I realize that I was able to go through it even if during those times I really felt bad and down.I hope you'll also be able to do ir.:))

I'm sorry I confused you--I've a tendency to do that when I'm upset. But I'm calmer this morning--things changed last night for the better. Today is going to dawn a better day, and I'm NOT letting anything stop me!

act of frustration :state of being frustrated : the frustrated : the frustration of the president's efforts. A feeling of dissatisfaction, often accompanied by anxiety or depression , resulting from unfulfilled needs or unresolved problems.

Yes, in this case it's been due to unresolved problems. We will try to purchase a new computer at the end of the month--having older ones is just not worth it any longer. Thanks for your response!

I tried cooling my heels (that's what I've been doing all the last two weeks), but yesterday's selection of TV wasn't as good as the previous weeks. But I did keep busy, doing some very necessary paperwork. Thanks for your suggestions though!
