Well this year I have made thousands of more dollars then last year. Well to the question I add my w-2 for PNC Bank. Then... When I added kohls which was only 1000 dollars because I left that job once I got my new job. :) but it took off 200 dollars out of my total refund.. Makes me wonder the more money you make the less you get back?

Yep, it a great system we have here. Of course, if you make millions you can avoid a lot of taxes. Makes no sense if you ask me. I told my husband we should have to pay less taxes because I made less. He just laughed. I guess we'll find out next week. Best Wishes!

Best wishes to you as well :) usually that's howit works... In some ways.. To my the system is smart . The bigger your check it seems like the more they take out. There wash. Time I was working they took all my over time I was told to file single but put 1 as allowess so. I did that never happen again. Right now even tho bills seem to be a hand me and my spouse are planning to save 10,000 this year.. We need to save money especially in is economy emergency money is and can be more posmising then your own job. I remember I use to work, 4 hours.. A week at a dept store. And my checks were tiny but they only took 2.50-1.50 in tax..

Yah, you should file singe and no dependant. Then at the end of the year you should get a refund check We file married, no dependants and pay extra each month. I would have to say we still don't get much of a refund back. It's really sad. Work all your life to pay taxes. Best Wishes!

I didn't make all that terribly much this year, I started in July. I think I netted about $4000 more or less, and I'm getting nothing back from federal and only $148.00 from state. Not sure that it has anything to do with the more you make the less you get back or not. Using mine as an example, I didn't make all that much and still getting back less.

... I believe everything's base on a bracket.. Because.. If you make a little .. Then your not going to get much. That to me sounds.. Normal. Now.. If you make too much and over the bracket amount ten you will will get probably that same out come ... Which I think it's strange ... ?

I only have 1 job i work at and then i had to add in my interest that i made from my car payments so they took out 30 something dollars out of my tax refund but i'm still getting a whole good chunk back over 1,000 dollars worth back so i can't really complain. But yea they take more out of you then you actually earn which is a rip off but can't really complain because atleast you're getting something back. something is better than nothing.

Very stupid, hey to me. At this rate how the Eco is looking tax refund will be a option and high risk for getting audit due to the fact that the government probably wants to save every dime they can get from people I bet if they all take a dollar from every American.. That would be over 300 million. .. I'll take a donation from everyone haha..

I had the same thing happen with me. I have one main job, that I've worked every day of the past year and made a good amount, and then I worked a little part time job - where I made $3,400 in the entire year. (It's a company that I work for seasonally, data entry, when the work picks up). Even if you claim 0, because you really don't make much money at all there, they don't take out enough state/federal taxes (for me, it was federal taxes they didn't take enough out of). I would've gotten $1100 back from Federal but instead, because I worked that 2nd little part time job, I'm getting like $890 or something - which kinda stinks! I was claiming zero excemptions too. If you plan on having another SMALL job where you only make a couple thousand a year, I would make sure you are claiming ZERO (0) excemptions and even have the person in charge of payroll take out a little extra into a 'tax savings account' if they can. So, I guess we can be thankful that at least we are both still getting money back anyway! And I guess if we decide to have another small part-time job like this, we'd better put away some money on the side so it doesn't hurt as much this time of year!

I am thankful, but, still that sounds insane you would think it would be the other way around. And you get back a little tiny bit more but I guess not. A second job will just stab you right in the back if you think about it. I'm taint over 200 off. And I am filing single so... Hello I was just going to save it.
