How do you make money running a blog?

After posting a topic to figure out how to make extra money I've decided having a blog might be the easiest way for me to do this. I've signed up for a blog on Blogger.com and also signed up for Google AdSense. I've made about 3 posts to my blog and I am wondering if anyone knows how I can actually make money using the blog other than AdSense? If anyone has any ideas or insight it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance you guys here at Mylot are amazing with your responses!!
