I am sorry to say but I will no longer shop at Walmart. The customer service or rather their lack there of customer service has completely driven me away from ever shopping there again. It's not just one store either it's multiple stores. I am not sure why everyone besides the older door greeters are such mean and nasty people that aren't willing to help or even be customer service professionals. I went into a store a few days ago just wanting to exchange a product that had been bought in error for my youngest daughter and it took almost 45 minutes of them arguing with me stating they weren't going to exchange it then almost 15 minutes waiting on a CSM to come to the front end to then apologize, hassle me and then tell me they had to ask their direct manager. Needless to say an easy exchange of a sealed item that was brand new took almost an hour and half and all the while I was still being hassled for being in the customer service area by the employee. I filed a complaint with Walmart Corporate as well. I just can't believe how the employees act in those stores!

Wow. That stinks. I know that Wal-Mart really irritates me, too, but in a different way, I suppose. I like that Wal-Mart is cheap, and there's one around every corner in my city (it seems like), so pretty convenient. But as soon as you step into the chaotic store.... Not good. They never seem to have enough people cashiering. Never have enough people at the customer service desks, never enough people (or ANY) at the jewelry desk. Totally understaffed and then you have their customer base (A la "People of Wal-Mart"). I can imagine, with that said, how their customer service is (although I don't think I've ever done a return with them before). Not good. Switch to Target if you have those by you, perhaps?

Target is really way out of my way also but I do go to Target rather than Walmart. They are a little pricier but I watch for sales and it's worth it. Very occasionally, my daughter will convince me to enter Walmart and only because SHE is looking for a certain item. I might pick up some milk or toilet paper but never more than that. I like their candle melts which are the best around so I do buy those there ....still not buying even ten dollars worth of stuff.

I am definitely switching to Target only problem is Walmart is much more convinenent to my home. But I guess if I want treated like a human being instead of just some robotic customer that doesn't have feelings I will have to go ahead and drive those extra miles. I just don't understand how a company that is lacking in SOOOOOO many areas can actually keep such a large customer base and make so much money.

Unfortunately Wal-mart is not concerned with making you happy. They simply want you in and out the door with as much stuff in your cart as possible. The longer they keep you in that store the more of a chance you have of purchasing something. While this may not be the case when you are returning or exchanging this is typically there philsophy. Also they purposedly keep the staff lean in order to boost profits. It is not about satisfying the customer it is about the almighty $.

See and it shouldn't be like that. I don't feel people shoulw shop there if they act like that. I bet if alot of people stopped going to their stores maybe they would change their attitudes because they'd be losing money. I'd almost consider boycotting them for like a month. Yes Target might be a bit more expensive but their people are soooooo much kinder and actually believe in customer service.

I can literally see Walmart from my apartment so it is very convenient for me and you will almost NEVER see me step foot in that door. I've had a number of bad experiences with them and heard way too many stories and I don't like how they go about doing business. Last year I am proud to say that no matter how great their sales were, I did all of my Christmas shopping without once stepping foot into freakin Walmart.

I understand the employees are miserable in their jobs but that really isn't an excuse. I wonder if they realize that if they rose above the stress and treated their customers with courtesy and a smile that they may even get a better job offer? They really never know who that customer might be. I say that because I get job offers all the time. Thing is, I do make more than this type of work generally pays and so it would take the right boss and the right offer to convince me to quite and change jobs. I"ve worked in customer service for years and honestly....there is no excuse in my opinion. I worked through some really stressful personal times and when I had a boss that was not very nice and never did I take it out on the customers. In fact, it was they who helped me through though they didn't know it. You deserved to be treated better and there is no excuse at all. I'd bad mouth them all over the place.

Hi there Kx2sMommy, Hi there hope your doing well today, I feel for you there are just those days that people don't really do there jobs, i worked before in a customer service kinda job even now, but i have never treated my customers the way that you were treated good thing you made a complaint and i hope walmart acts on this so they don't loose valuable customers.

I actually doubt that my complaint will result in anything. I know many people must complain a day being treated that way and they still act that way with others. I guess if they are that unhappy with their jobs they should not work with the public or something. Some people just aren't cut out for it.

I understand how you feel I too have been in your shoes. It is such an uneasy feeling when you receive bad customer service. It could be the location. Perhaps all Walmart's are not like this. When you have a bad experience with a company you just don't want to do business with them anymore. Maybe they should invest in training their employee's how to deal with customers. I suggest you call the corporate office and make a complaint. If you experienced this than other customers have too.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I can't say that I've had the same experiences. The Walmart I go to all the people are super nice and friendly. Even if they weren't I would probably still shop there just because I love their prices.
