What other animals do you keep with your tropical fishes?

Hi there oscar bartoni, I dont know lots about the fish you mentioned and the invertebrates but i do have a fighting fish that is named barry he eats ants and other bugs even mosquito larva's so he is a big help in my apartment i love my barry.

Dear Oscarbartoni! Nice to know that you are interested in keeping some other inverts in your aquarium along with your tropical fish! In fact I too was very keen of doing so , in order to make the tank beautiful I have added some prawns and snails to the tank. But unfortunately I had to remove these things as Prawns are seen dominating the fish and I have observed that the fish were getting upset with the presence of them! I had to remove the snails a they propagate very fast and within no time they have occupied my entire aquarium with the young ones making the tank very ugly to look at. Yes, I also tried with star turtle which again is a big enemy of the aquatic vegetation and it soils the aquarium very quickly with its excreta! So I think it may not be really a good idea of adding some other inverts in the aquarium. This is of Course my personal experience, may be you may have different one than me! I have had many fish tanks and enjoyed the aquarium fish a lot at my lace now more than 30 years and I feel this as one of the best hobby one can have! But then now a days because of lack of time and my preoccupation I am unable to undertake this hobby any more! Thanks for the discussion I liked participating in it!
