Has anyone seen this Filipino horror movie? My brother just recommended it, and he says it's really scary. It stars Marvin Agustin, Carmina Villaroel and Rhian Ramos (the ones I remember) and is about a house where horrifying things happened. For the first time I was intrigued enough to ask about it. I hardly watch movies these days, only those I think should be watched on big screen. Is it worth watching?

I do believe that this movie is really scary. This was directed by Yam Llaranas and he's such a great director. This movie will also be shown abroad. Sadly, I was not able to watch this movie when it was shown here in the Philippines.

The Road I think is worth watching because lately on the news, it is reported to be entered to the American film festival if I'm not mistaken. There has been some showbiz buzz about it's unique quality as a horror movie. Not a typical nor usual storyline that we see from horror movies like Shake, Rattle and Roll, wherein there's too much screaming and crying as if the movie itself is hell. I am looking forward to watch The Road, and see if the buzz is true. I am not a typical horror movie fan but I like to check out some movies like this one. I am very much confused at time why horror movies made here in our country has zombies that have normal eyes, dang i thought zombies were rotten corpses with rotten even falling eyes. Well its just a movie they say but come on at list make it realistic as much as possible, if not then that horror movie becomes a comedic and corny.

That's what my brother said, too. He liked it so much that he told me the story because he knows I don't mind knowing before watching. He says the acting is good - must be, if they made it to an international film festival. I use to associate Pinoy horror films with Shake Rattle and Roll and of course, Kris Aquino. Like you I wonder why there are always zombies in our horror films. My guess would be that the ugly make-up scares Pinoys.

Honestly, i still can't find time to watch this movie. However, it is really a must watch movie because it is not the typical filipino horror movie. In addition, this may 2012 it will be shown entirely in United States and it is the first filipino movie to be commercially released internationally. I just watched it's US trailer and such a nice one. You couldn't believe that it was made by filipino. Another one, it's director is yam laranas who is also the director of sigaw which is converted to a hollywood film through The Echo. :) . Another, first filipino movie to be shown in theatres twice in the Philippines. Well, it was made by GMA Films. No doubt. :)
