Drama queens (and kings) ....just can't figure it out!

Why do so many people love drama in their life? And yes, I said, love it. It seems some people are just not happy without drama and stress daily. I even know of, what seems like, whole towns that thrive on drama! I don't like drama or the stress that comes with it, therefore, I don't allow it in my home or my life. I know some will say that is easier said then done, but not really! It's all in taking control of what you allow to happen around you, or in your home. It brings to mind two things, a small book, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and a column that Ann Landers wrote a long time ago.....You can't be a doormat for others, unless you allow it! So, do you live a drama free life, or are you a Drama Queen/King?

I cannot stand drama queens or kings! They are very wearing on a person! I don't like alot of stress in my life either...and those negative people....they get the boot out of my life too! There is alot to be happy about everyday without finding fault with everything!

I completely agree with you. It seems some people just aren't 'happy' unless they are 'unhappy' and complaining about something. So much of it is brought on by themselves too. I'm like you, I won't stick around people like that.

Haha. i think that you're so annoyed with these drama queens and kings. LOL. Actually sometimes, they really do annoy me. LOL. Maybe there are just people who complains all the time about what happened in their life and making big deal out of it. LOL. i live a drama free life. I believe that i can control my mind and emotions. I don't want to give in to all sorts of dramaness in life.

I hate the drama! I do my best to keep it out of my life, but I know what you mean about those who love it. My brother's ex thrived on it, she was at her best in the middle of a crisis. I used to work with a gal who'd invent them, I hate to say it, but being injured in a serious car wreck might've actually helped her... (no, nothing too damaging, but bad enough)

Ha ha, I just started a very similar discussion. For those of who don't feed off of silly drama... It's so hard to understand why others do. I'd rather be happy and successful than brooding and dramatic. I think some people just don't have enough things to do to fill their time, and that's why they are gossip queens and/or drama queens (or kings, like you said). I JUST try to avoid these people in general!
