Would you rather lose your job or lose your home? I know this might be an odd sort of question but I'd really like to see what Mylotters think about this one. I myself I guess would rather lose my home because you can always find another one and without a job you can't provide for your family or support yourself in turn losing your home, car and or anything else you owe payments on. Let me know what you think and why!

This has happened to my family. I dont work any ways since I'm a stay at home mom. But like 7 months ago my husband lost his job so I would rather him lose his job then our house. I tell him all of the time I rather be broke with a home then be broke with no home. So I would rather go through that again then lose my house where my daughter sleeps.

Do you still have a mortgage on your home or is it paid for?

We don't have house we never had a house. We rent cause we don't have the money for a house but an apartment is still a home. We paid rent every month to stay where we where at and had help from my parents to keep it.

That is a rather interesting question. Losing my job would be the lesser of two evils I think. Losing a home would be worse. It would be a bigger blow to the ego than losing a job. Granted, losing a job is really not going to really something that is all sunshine and roses. However, there is a lot less problems that come mentally from losing a job then losing your home. If you lost your home, it seems like you've lost a huge part of your life. If I lost a job...well it's just me here anyway, that's the only person that I worry about. And I've saved enough money to coast by if I am frugal enough for about a year or two if I play my cards right. So that is a lot less of a horrifying idea than losing my home. Then again, it really depends on your situation.

i do not have my home yet, and the truth is, i cannot afford to lose a job or my work right now because it is really the source of what i have in my daily life... and more than the money, i think it has also become my life itself because it makes me feel i belong to a group of people who have become my friends. =)

My home is all paid for so I would lose a lot more money if I lost it. If I decided to sell it, I could live for years with the money I would get from it. Besides, it is also expensive to go to another place. You have to clean up, do some work and maybe change part of your furniture. Besides that, you have to move your belongings.

Well, if I had to choose between the two, I would rather lose my home. If I lost my home, as long as I had a job it would be much easier to find a new home. On the other hand, if I lost my job then it wouldn't take long until I was no longer able to afford the house and would lose it as well. Hopefully I will never have to face losing either of them.
