I am sure in every competition, it could be sport or any other contest you watch on TV, You always find that competitor you marked for. You root for that competitor and want that person to win. But surely there times when the person we root for dont win. Kinda frustrating cos when you watch a sport event or a competition it feels good when the one you wanted to win takes it all. Last year though is like not my year as a fan. Most of the person I root for didnt win. Can you share some moments of yours when the person you wanted to win almost have it but its not enough.

It is distressing when the one you are rooting for and you believe to be the most deserving did not win at all. Indeed it is a frustrating situation and would make me lose my smile and even my appetite for a moment. Nevertheless it is easy for me to get over. Anyway it does not happen all the time so I might as well move on.

when the one we root for wins though, it feels good, its like you won your self. i did experiencing having the one I root for wins, but 2011, had been bad to me in that aspect lol. From sports, to reality Tv to awards night.

this has happened to me with ebay too but in regards to sports, for me, it is the Toronto Maple Leafs (hockey!). they are a so-so team that only win once in awhile.

for their fans though,If they win.they see it as an underdog win. It doesnt matter if the one we root for is underdog or front runner, we like them cos we like them, we connect with them and relate with them.so when they lose, its upsetting.

I love football and I'm rooting for this club who has a tough year. It's awful because we lose a lot recently, but that makes the wins even better. Oh, and there was a Holland Next Top Model this year, and this girl in my hometown entered the competition. I couldn't believe that she went trough every episode because she didn't do a good job. But, I also wanted her to make it to the finals because then you'll have a little peek in every contestant's life. And how awesome is it to see where she lives and all those things: my home town is really small. So I was rooting for her! The half-finale: she did a good job, had best photo for the FIRST time ever, and they SEND HER AWAY?! I was so mad. She finally managed to pull something off and yet that's the episode she gets send home.

rooting for an underdog is sometimes more practical cos if they lost there is less disappointing while rooting for a front liner and have them lose in the end is like a huge disappointing. Who knows that girl you mentioned might be successful someday, runner ups and losers of America'snext top model are usually more successful than the winners.
