My OB told me to drink Isoxilan every time my tummy contracted. The problem is, every time me and fiance are fighting or if i'm stressed out from the office -- i can feel a lower abdominal pain. Every time these scenarios happened, i drink isoxilan to prevent it contractions according to my OB. Do you there are any other complications of taking this medicine? I just want to hear other person's opinions. Thanks! ;)

I haven't taken anything for that. Lower abdominal pain is normal in a pregnancy especially the first one because your uterus is expanding and moving to fit your baby that is growing. This is my second pregnancy in over a year so I know all the aches and pains by my doctor never gave me anything for pains since it was normal. As you get closer to your due date you'll have braxtion hick contractions and if you drink water they will go away.

In my case before, my placenta is lower than expected that's why I am advised to take isoxilan if I feel pain or any contractions. :) But as for now, i'm done with my 2nd ultrasound and the placenta is now positioned accordingly and the baby's turning out to be okay. :) I'll take your advice, I'll drink water first when I encounter contractions. Thanks ShyBear88

False labor happens all of the time. I know 5 days before my daughter was born I had them for like 3 days and as soon as I was pumped with lots of water it went away. Now I'm having my second baby and almost to the second trimester. Its been an up down roller coaster for the first trimester but I'm hoping things are great with my baby and tomorrow will be the first time I see him or her on ultrasound. Up to now its been too early to see anything and suppose-ably I was possibly having twins and lost one. But the doctor is unsure till she sees me again tomorrow. Its been a long 3 weeks since the last time I saw my doctor. Well good luck with your son or daughter. Its good to hear that things are good for the both of you and I hope it stays that way. Best wishes for you and your child. Enjoy the time while your pregnant because you'll miss it when its over.

I took Isoxilan before as 3 times a day. My OB also advised me to take bedrest for 2 weeks. As for now, I only take Isoxilan if needed (super tired and experiencing abdominal pain). Thanks Micajazz. :D
