I am in Chennai, India. Supposing I call a friend in Indonesia over phone will he be charged for the incoming call from other countries? I do not want to put him into trouble after calling him. Friends from Indonesia will know that.

that is not trouble him, its make the distant bond even more strong, and talking about the charges one can check the tata services with lowest incoming call rates.

hey ravisivan I know that for incoming phones we are charged only when we are at roaming. As far as INDIA is concern i know that. But i think there might be posiblities that user in Indonesia might be get charged for incoming calls but the chances less untill they are on roaming. There are two types of roaming one is national roaming and other is international romaing so this may possibly varies the things in other countries.

yes rajeev: In India we are not charged for our incoming calls as long as we are in our own State. In USA even incoming calls are charged. I will be calling a landline in Indonesia and wanted to know whether incoming calls to landlines in Indonesia or cell phones Indonesia number are charged for inward calls.

I don't think so. My friend in Canada has called me a few times and I was never charged for an incoming call from another country. She incurred the charges because she made the call. It would be the same for you I think.
