I love animals and have a dog to look after in the daytime. I think animals all have different personality traits like humans and can be happy or moody just the same as us. Do you agree?

Ýes, I agree with you. Though I have no pets but saw some pets doing so in which they will become sad or moody when we do not take them for a walk or when we don;t care them. When they come to know that we are caring them then they will become happy and come close to us. Hence they share a common relation with humans.

Yes, they definitely all have their own, distinct personality. I've noticed that even some fish have different personalities. lol When my children were young, they had some fish and a pet snail. The snail did something that convinced me that it had a personality. It would go over to some plastic plants we had in the tank and crawl up the plants. In the middle of the plants I had an air stone so there were tiny bubbles coming from the plant. The snail would get to the top of the plant and position himself so that his shell would fill up with air. Once he had enough air in his shell, he would let go of the plant and float to the top of the water and across the tank. Once he got to the other side, he would float down to the gravel again and begin the entire process over and over again. I KNOW he was doing this for fun. He was fun to watch. As for dogs and cats, though, I think they each have a very developed personality. I have two dogs and they are extremely different in their personalities, how they play, how they react to different things, etc. One of them loves to snuggle with me while the other doesn't like to be held, she has too much energy.

In my experience each animal has it's own identity, even our herd animals are that way. Humans only think they know the animal world, but communication is sadly lacking, the best we can do is give our loving care to these other beings we share the planet with.

I too have a dog and feel he has a distinct personality. He is more cheerful except with the fowls on whom he wants to pounce. Most of all i like the love and affection which he showers on us and his loyalty.I look after fowls and pigeons but my vote goes to the dog as far as showing affection and guarding the house is concerned.
