One of the Nun in our school told me something about this. The main reason why you hate someone is that "Haters don't really hates you. They hate themselves because you are the reflection of what they wished and hoped to be". I've been pondering with what she shared. She is really right. I tend to hate someone because I see a part of myself that I can see to others. How I wish that this will enlightened us not to hate others anymore. The bottom line is that you hate someone because you wanted to be them.

It should help us become stronger individuals, especially when we realize that the hate we have for someone is because we want to be them or like them. Though there are some cases wher hate may not be the right word, but we do not like the person and in no certain circumstances want to be them. I guess ashamed of / pity for them would be the best way to put it.

Sometimes there are really various reason why we hate someone, but the one that I'm pointing out is in the generalize form.

I get your notion and I must say that it is true for many people. But sometimes I feel we hate someone because he or she disturbs the peace by being dramatic, loud and impulsive. I just described my sister. Trust me, eat to west, no one likes her and it is not because they wish they were like her. She is unstable, can't make up her mind, leaves work unfinished and above all, extremely violent. I don't think even in my dream I want to be that.
