I realize that everyone has their own opinion. Whats great about it is we are supposed to be free.
Where did that freedom come from? The constitution, and Declaration of Independence comes to mind when I think about it.
I have to say I am greatful that my son asked me to homeschool him. His lessons were not ridiculed of pass by the Constitution. He even had to take a test on the Constitution and pass or he would not have gotten his diploma.
Going back over all this history also helped me to realize regardless of color, race, culture or creed anyone that is a citizen of the United States are to have all the same rights.
Now we come to the present govenment and how our Constitution is being snipped one little bill with another without the majority of citizens really realizing it.
While I read newsletters, and listen to some news talk shows while I drive around, I will look around and see lots of others chatting happily on their cells.
Does the impowerment of laptops, computers, cell phones, and all the choices we have challenge the important things we should know?
I live in a tourist town. While they say we are doing just fine in less than a week I saw two major restaurants close. one had been here for over 20 years. The other was the only chinese buffet on the beach.
What I see is that with all the rising prices of food for everyone even restaurants do not get much of a discount on food, I see people that have rented these buildings would rather have it empty than leave the rent the same or possibly even reduce it to keep a tenant.
We have a new strip shopping center down the street from us. Almost every shop there has turned at least once if not more. These are not just mom and pop specialty stores Some have been major companies like Quiznos, and Cici's Pizza.
Now I see another business is going to open where Cici's closed. I feel so sorry for them as I see them working hard on the interior to get ready to open. I know in 6 months time no matter how much has been sunk into opening this place it will be gone. The prices they will charge for meals will be double what Cici's charges for Pizza Pasta and Desert at 4.99 for the buffet.
While we are busy fighting over the government and seeing the laws upset us or a talk show host we need to bash, all I can think of is WE are Americans.
regardless of race, creed, culture, we are all united by trying to work, keep a family, feed, and work.
I hope we can come together to vote with our hearts and souls instead of reading between the lines of important information that we are trying to share with each other.
If you are a US citizen I hope you will remember the importance of voting. Voting is not just for the old folks and that it does not pertain to me.
How many times I have heard this from a young adult sits me back.
How can we as Americans allow our freedom and constitutional rights be taken away?
Regardless if we have lost a job, a home, please do not lose your spirit and remember the only way to get back at congress and the government is to vote.
While I live in a tourist city, our homeless just in this city has risen 47% over last winter. I see countless houses, not the fancy large ones, but smaller homes, condos, and mobile homes empty. Our homeless shelter is overwhelmed with the amount of homeless we have yet we have empty condos, empty houses, and condos everywhere.
There is little what we can do individually but together we can be a force to be reckon with.
Not tearing up properties, not causing businesses to close because they could not work for protesting, but the common thing we can do united is Vote.
I genuinely hope every American citizen will take just a few minutes each day to read and get educated. We each have our own opionion. but somehow the founding forefathers come together to make that wonderful document called the Constitution.
Will we just say it does not pertain to us and remain silent?
God Bless all and have a great day.

I agree with everything you said. I have been told by a few people they won't vote this year, because of who the candidates are and are likely to be. I agree there are no good candidates, but I still think it is important to vote.

Sometimes when I see Romney talk I keep telling my husband he sounds like a White Obama.
All the candidates I wanted to see run has quit.
So we lose again to have a chance for a real candidate because the top 2 candidates get more money slathered on them
But while these candidates get SOME money, its a real Travasty to see the O get more and more money and will not govern.

Unfortunately our country is already not only divided, but at war from within. The battle is fierce. We exhibit all the signs of the "fall of a once great civilization" at around the 200 year mark because we have become apathetic, complacent, immoral, and ignorant. We refuse to learn the simple lessons of history,(which are not taught in the public schools, in favor of political indoctrination, lies, and "political correctness" which is cultural Marxism). Since our public schools are worthless and are the first arm of the government a child is turned over to, your son is blessed to have been homeschooled. The public school system is designed to dumb-down our children and hold parents hostage to union greed and power.
For years since I have been alive that has been crucial to the fact that we have been "voting for the lesser of the two evils". So few in office even know or care to know our Constitution, since greed and power, just like the unions, is the main motivation, not serving and protecting citizenry or doing their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution.
And now the most evil of all sad excuses for a human being sits in the WH poised to destroy whatever freedom you speak of.

The war we are in is called jihad, fomented by the above referenced scum who is the new face of Bin Laden and whose mission is to destroy our economy, every ounce of our freedom, remove our sovereignty, and bring us to servitude under the corrupt UN as he "ushers in the NWO" (quote by Henry Kissinger) which will facilitate the "end of days" antichrist scenario.
While "voting" is so important and vital in a free country, it's difficult to believe that, given the fraudulent and unconstitutional vote of 2008, we will be given the privilege and opportunity for a CLEAN vote and election in 2012 if the usurper is not removed from the ballot.

Our economy is being deliberately destroyed to that end:
http://blog.heritage.org/2011/11/28/morning-bell-obama-keeps-turning-his-back-on-jobs/
https://www.numbersusa.com/content/node/12978?
Having said all of that, then please realize that it's not ALL about the economy, though that's one of the quickest ways to destroy and disarm a nation.
The "economy", like everything else, is rooted in the Godly spirituality of a nation, as in America's being "one nation under God", endowed with the liberty and prosperity that ONLY God can give.
We, as a nation, have stuck our finger in His eye, from the rotten schools who teach our children to hate Him, to a corrupt government which instills tyranny at their hands and tries to destroy the liberty our God gave us, which also includes the opportunity to work and achieve prosperity.
Hitler taught the Muslims well and the Muslim in the WH uses all he has been taught, from Muslim taqiyya, to Marxism/ Saul Alinsky radicalism, etc. Remember Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" is dedicated to Satan. Hitler was an occultist.
So, you see, it is vital to cover our nation with prayer, as in IIChronicles 7:14.
But, that prayer requires ACTION on our part. It requires the personal action of each turning from our own wicked ways, and corporate action on the part of churches that will produce people of Godly chacter who may assume RIGHTFUL leadership positions and restore America to "one nation UNDER GOD". Proverbs 16 says, "The throne is established upon righteousness."
Remember, the monster in chief has declared this a Muslim nation and is doing all he can to ensure this will happen. Though through his taqiyya (Muslim permissable lying in order to distract, deceive, disarm, and vanquish an enemy)he pretends to be a Christian in order to deceive lukewarm and nominal "Christians" along with the rest of the world. He, like his father the devil, masquerades as an "angel of light".
I understand he even misquoted Scripture in the "state of the union speech". I did not watch it. Remember, too, his long ago quote, saying he'd been to all of our 57 states. (that would be the 57 states of the arab league).
PAY ATTENTION; NEVER FORGET.
PRAY CONTINUALLY AND EARNESTLY.
And ACT by writing ballot challenges, demanding every official from sheriff on up abrogate this criminal administration.
Demand prosecution for this man using 042-68-4425 SS# illegally, forging documents, and committing heinous sedition and treason.

Check this out:

Also, I've just gotten some bad news about the GA eligibility cases. It sounds like a repeat of the CA case involving Judge David O. Carter where Perkins-Coie, Obama's law firm that keeps his vital records sealed, installed one of their own as the Judge's law clerk and he wrote the ruling.
Now Malihi's ignoring the Constitution, SC Minor v Hapersett, rule of law, witness testimony and evidence. This is awful. No wonder the criminal felt that he did not even have to show up in court or present proof of his eligibility to be on the ballot.
It's scary and I think we're getting closer to civil war.
No matter what, we're going to have to fight for our country as never before.
Better mobilize.

I was wrong about his quoting Scripture in the state of the union speech.
It was the National Prayer Breakfast.
http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/print-friendly/44389
Read article and particularly the misuse of Scripture as the snake winds his way around the rhetoric written by his writers to ensnare and deceive lukewarm Christians
and those who would never read a Bible.
Look at the fruit: his love for homosexuality, which the Bible clearly calls an abomination and for abortion, which is murder. Who speaks for the defenseless in the womb?
Yeh, right Mr. snake masquerading as a "Christian".

Good reading. He proclaimed to be a Christian while at the prayer breakfast. It totally shocked me.
I am praying the young men and women will vote this time and vote with their heart and mind. If the yung leaves it up to us to do, That does not say much about the comning elections for years to come.
I pray at the end of this year we will have some light at the end of the tunnel. Seems every day we cant walk through the tunnel.

Freedom does not come from the declaration of independence or the constitution ....they are inalienable rights.
You have a very viable point that this country is very heavily divided right now. But I do not see romney or obama being able to change that. People want different things...want the country to go in different directions and want different things from their government. None want to compromise. I don't see it getting better til the American public stops voting in status quo politicans.

You bring up a lot of good points, and the country is really falling apart. But failure drives down prices, and rights things.
I don't think the country is so much divided as its struggling. But when people panic they don't think clearly and America lacks the skills to handle the times smoothly, but it'll blow over eventually.
As for voting, I always vote. Not because I think it matters much who wins, but because young people voting changes the concerns of congress. The country for too long has run around the concerns of retired people looking out for themselves. We need people to have lives, not a dream of retiring at 65, and all the years before that we just ignore them.

That was a lot of reading! LOL but so worth it. =)
I agree that it is very important for people of all ages to vote, this year more than others I think.
It is sad when you look around and there are so many people struggling, so many empty houses and more and more jobless! I don't care what anyone says, here we have NO more jobs than last year...
I made a discussion a few months ago about how there were less Christmas lights up this year than any other year. I think less and less people could afford the electric bill for them and it broke my heart. =(
I am ready for a REAL change for this country. I am going to vote, even though I am young, I don't care. We need someone who is going to fix this country and make things better. We gave someone a chance, they blew it, let's get someone who will really change things! =)
