I felt I was wasting my time and effort when I joined Yahoo contributor- Yahoo Voices because after I spent a lot of time and effort in writing an article about a new t.v. show, I found out that I don't get any pay for it at all. I, then decided to try something else and I took an assignment from the assignment desk. I wrote a story about Valentine's Day and then they rejected it because of all their rules on Pictures or images which, by the way, I uploaded from their library. Anyway, I think being on My Lot is an easier way to make some money and hopefully I won't be rejected. Read my profile and feel free to do a friend request. I am really very friendly and try to be helpful too. My advice, don't do the Yahoo Contributor thing unless you are an American citizen, which I am not, I am Canadian. If you just want to have your articles on what they call, Display Only and no pay, then maybe you'll just enjoy writing for them.

does it mean you don't have any idea why the discussion creator is referring to you?
then that is really confusing! and funny at the same time

I guess this is the first time I heard about Yahoo contributor. So I decided to make a quick search, then I found this on https://contributor.yahoo.com/signup/ :
Get paid. Earn money through up-front payments, exclusive assignments, and performance bonuses based on the traffic your work receives.
So, does someone need to be an US citizen if he wants to earn from Yahoo Contributor?
By the way, welcome to myLot and enjoy your stay..

YES, you have to be a U.S citizen to get paid for articles you write for Yahoo contributor. You could become a Featured Contributor if you apply and are accepted but you have to be a published writer and have experience and education for certain subjects. I like My Lot better. I have asked for your friend request, will you be my friend?, check out my profile.

hi ecaron sorry to hear about your bad experience with yahoo voices, I believe I checked that site before and if my memory serves me well it is stated somewhere in the guidelines or the site's terms of service that they only pay contributors that ate from US. Anyways regarding mylot I am pretty sure you will not be rejected here as long as your contribution is not violating any rules of mylot, commiting some violations unpurposely will not get you banned but if mylot noticed that you are disregarding the guidelines again and again then they will ban your account so the best thing to do as a new member is to read mylot's Guidelines and FAQs so you'll be more acquainted about how mylot works and the things that is not allowed in mylot.
