hi friends.pardon me but i didn't even know there was going to be an auction untill i found it on a news channel while browsing and unfortunately by cable tv operator didn't telecast set max to see the auction.clever guy considering that out of 144 players that applied for auctioning, only 25 were sold.
just a brief look at the auction.( want detail go to one of those cricketing websites and read tomorrow's newspaper )
chennai superkings used their 2 million bag to buy just one player ravindra jadeja.
probably the most valuable player in this auction ,well behind dinesh karthik.
may be they already like their existing team which ofcourse has been very successfull
kolkata knight riders as usual have their odd man out moments.they bought brendon maccullum who they actually bought in the very first season i believe and let go during the next 2 seasons and he is back again.lol.
for people wondering about the offspinner who became a sensation during last year champions league, sunil narine, the kolkata team bought him and another new face.
royal challengers banglore must have left their brain at home before going to auction.
i mean they already have gayle to take care of the batting they should have just stayed home.
they bought vinay kumar for one million and whatmore they bought murali.
no offence to the legend but the last time he was picked,he was carted all around the ground once and he didn't play another game.
now that team has gayle, dilshan, deviliers, vettori, nannes, langvelt.how they are going to fit him?
and whats with buying macdonald from delhi?
the delhi daredevils were sensible this time.
bought jayawardane and andre russell this time.they have also bought kevin pieterson during exchange and did a very good job this time if he is available.
the rajasthan royals must be missing their captain warne .may be thats why they bought brad hodge who was never successfull in al four seasons and brad hogg, the 40 year old spinner.
they also bought alrounder kevon-cooper (look champions league and escaping from the jaws of defeat ) and ofcourse sreesanth.not sure he is fit though.
considering deccan chargers continue to change their squad,i am not sure of the composition but they bought parthiv patel and darren bravo.smart eventhough 650,000 is too much for parthiv and darren can bat better than parthiv.
kings xi punjab wont look the same without yuvraj but they bought ramesh powar who i think was bought by the during first auction and faulkner (remember the first T20 against india ).
for people wanting to see pakistan players, there you have it.the al-rounder azhar mahmood.
obviously he must not be a citizen of pakistan.
can somebody gives this tip to the rest of the pakistan team so we can watch afridi, gul and the rest next time?
no sign of pune warriors.surprising they have saurav and stil no controversies?
hmmmm
then mumbai indians.there was a talk during last champions league that mumbai indians dont have enough indian players due to injury.
but this they rectified it.
they bought gibbs, johnson and robin peterson for their base price.then rp singh and perera.
now what does that mean to mumbai indians.
sachin,bhajji,rohit,karthik,ojha,munaf,rp singh and rayudu.
add blizzard, jacobs, gibbs, johnson, pollard, mallinga.there is your powerfull 14 already.
if someone makes a decent enough calculation,144-25 = 121?
that many players went unsold which ofcourse included some names like laxman, shah, prior, boucher, wright ( hit a century during bigbash ),tsitsibe, philander, swann, siddle etc.
thats quick rundown.
