As the tittle says, Are you in to vegetables? If not, Would you mind going vegetarian? I personally would love to but i am addicted to meat. I know being vegetarian has its awesome benefits, but i wasn't raised that way and since i don't think i can survive without meat. What about you?

I'd rather eat an animal raised for food than contribute to the destruction of the Amazonian rainforests and extinction of species by becoming a vegetarian.

But being a vegetarian you don't eat the whole tree, just mainly the fruits that they bring in so i don't think vegetarians contribute to the extinction of species. Anyways thanks for sharing.

The problem is that a diet without meat or fish is very low on protein, so you need to make it up for that elsewhere. The most common way is from soy, for example, by using Quorn. A lot of soy is grown in Brazil, and they get the farmland for growing the soy by destroying the rainforest. There was an article in the National Geographic about it a few years back.

I love veggies and some of my best meals are made with only vegetables. But I love meat too and other dishes are meat dishes. As healthy goes, I think the best is a well balanced diet with a little of everything. I wasn´t raised either as to hurt inside when I´m eating meat. I feel that using disposable diapers is worse (as a philosophy of life) than to eat a chicken thigh.

I like vegetables, but I also like meat, so I have no desire to become a vegetarian. Let my meals have both vegetables, meat, and a sweet desert.

I wonder if you like all kind of vegetables or just a few specific ones. Well as for me i don't dislike every vegetable out there, there are some specific ones that i don't like and basically for them i refuse to go vegetarian. Anyways thanks for sharing.

yes, like to become one and like to eat vegetables grown in a farm. i like to have my own vegetable farm someday. this ensure me of fresh supply of vegetables free from pesticides and other chemicals. vegetarian food are very healthy and contains natural nutrients and vitamins need to fight any diseases. i rather go to holistic vegetarian diet if given an opportunity.

You know, even having your own farm doesn't ensure the vegetables to be pesticide free and also lets not forget all thee hassle you would have to go through to make your farm grow vegetables, just thinking about it makes me not wanna go vegetarian anymore @.@

i cant survive on purely vegetables alone. i need to eat meat... even just a little serving of meat will do for me. i don't think eating only vegetables for the entire day will give me enough energy to do everything that i have to do in the house.

Yes! I've been a veg since 2001! So about 10 1/2 years so far. It's gone by really fast. I am addicted to veggies. And 'fake meat' as I call it. (Veggie burgers, etc). The smell of meat somewhat grosses me out. LOL. I couldn't imagine it any other way!

I am not very interested in being a vegetarian, because I like my meat a lot. That's just the way I am.

I am not a vegetarian but I seldom eat meat. Besides of the fact it's too expensive I am also not fond of the taste. I can do without it. I also don't feel the need to buy a substitute for meat .. something that is not meat but looks like it.

Must feel good and healthy without meat then haha. If you are looking for a substitute i think soybeans might work, cooked one of-course. Soybeans are healthy and somewhat tastes like meat if cooked properly. Anyways thanks for sharing.

I do put meat on my plate, sort of a balanced diet but could become a vegetarian easily too. I think getting the fresh foods in my area of the world that are fresh is an issue. Summer is good but in winter quality (price based too) is not there, so meats are needed. I like stir fry with rice, with fish on the side. My main veggies are potatoes, carrots, beans/peas, and broccoli which a eat up whole like little trees.

Nice, all those foods that you mentioned just made me hungry and i agree balanced diet can work better than being just vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to be vegetarian, too. but my big problem is that I eat a lots of meat! I usually don't eat fruits and vegetables because I don't like it. If I should be a vegetarian, I have to like vegetables... And for me, is a mission impossible.
