An Ode to The G-men!

The Giants did it1 They won the right way. They just went out and did their best ! And All three parts did their best. The kicker backed the Pats up. The D tried to stop Brady and they did contain him. And the Offense? They moved the ball down and scored when they Needed to. What else can you ask for. Everyone knew it was going to be a close game. And they did it. The first 9-7 team to win the Super Bowl. And why I'm more happy about this win than the 2007-2008 season? this is a real Team. Yes you have stars but they All put the team first And... the coach finally gets it. This isn't the same Tom Couglin that came to NY. He let go of the reins just enough so the Veterans could be leaders. 15 minutes early isn't deemed on time. He now treats his players like men Not boys. And he opened up to the team more. I just heard before the game he told the team he loved them. And that is why I love The G-Men. They are not fancy . They don't have Golden Boy Brady and I'm glad. Isn't it weird how in baseball New England/ Boston gets it. The Red Sox are a team first franchise and the Pats are not? Your thoughts.

Well, Since I am not a football fan, I don't get excited over the Super Bowl. But since I am from New York, well, at least New York won. Is there any other city like New York? I don't think so. But for all those Giants fans out there, congrats on your team winning the super bowl. And for those who actually bet on football, well, to the winners, Nice!. To the losers, next time. Hey Now.

I was happy too! I know that Brady and Belichek would be hall of famers, but I'm glad that the Giants tarnished their legacy a little bit. And yes, I saw them play like a team. Even when they gave Brady enough time to do what he supposedly do best, the D held up! Congratulations to the NY Giants!

As long as Tom Brady loses I'm a happy man! Ever since the 2001 Divisional Playoffs when Brady FUMBLED and had it called the "tuck rule," I've been rotting against him in every single game he's ever played! And if that wasn't bad enough, now they've made two more rules just for Tom Brady! Why can't you hit a QB high? Tom Brady took a shot in 2009. Why can't you hit a QB low? Tom Brady took a shot in 2007. Why can't you knock the ball out of their hands on a pump fake and regain possession? The NFL's insistence that Tom Brady needs to surpass Peyton Manning as the poster child will not allow for fair play as long as he's on the field! So the fact that the Giants did beat the Patriots, when the Pats committed pass interference about half a dozen times, stands as a testament to New York's resiliency and intensity. (And did you see that phantom holding call when the Giants were driving the ball? WTF?) Brady is indeed the league's Golden Boy. He's as fragile as thin ice, though. And as good of a quarterback as he is (probably the 2nd best in the entire league!), he turns into a mediocre player when he feels pressure. Eli, on the other hand, goes from a numbskull to a cold-blooded killer when the pressure is on. He's totally underrated. Or at least was.

I am happy the Giants won Super Bowl XLVI. The day before the Super Bowl I had the feeling they'd win which they did! I also had that feeling when they played the Packers in the playoffs! Anyway Eli Manning keeps growing as a QB and a team leader! I am very impressed at his development! he ranks up there with brother Peyton! The whole team is great and just got better as the seaon went on! I expect them to be giving the Packers a run for their money in the 2012 season!

That is so sweet of you! Eli surpassed his brother. But Eli being Eli will Never say it or even think it.And that is what hit me. The Giants are not the flashy team. They just go out and win! I'm impressed with the change of the coach . When he first came he was treating his players like boys and now like men. And like Parcels, he loves them and they love him. I'm glad.

I am not a Football fan. In fact I know next to nothing about Football, but I am a New Yorker. Or at least I was. Even though I now live in Indiana a part of me will always be a New Yorker & as such I have to be loyal to their teams. So I was especially glad when the Giants won the Superbowl this year. GO GIANTS, GOOOOOOOO......LOL

I missed the end of the game, because there was this loud guy behind me being extremely obnoxious. By the time we got out of the bar, I was tired of noise. LOL In the time it took us to walk next door to our apartment, the game ended. We read about it on the net, as soon as we walked in the door. LOL

I'm proud of you. A woman who doesn't like football that much stayed longer than I! I thought it was all over at the beginning of the 3rd quarter.
