There are different reasons why people look for another job. Some say that they are already bored with what they are doing. Some say they couldn't stay how the company runs. Some say they cannot tolerate they co-workers anymore. Some, too much stress. How about you what are the other things/reasons that let you decide to find another job?

one main reason i would like to get a better job is the pay. my job only pays minimum wage, and it's really difficult to live on minimum wage. and i just found out last week that a lady who is a notch above me on the corporate ladder actually makes less than a dollar an hour more than i do!!! i would totally not want to have that much responsibility and to make that little money! the really sad part is that her husband can't work due to health issues, so she has to support herself, her hubby, & their two kids on not much more than minimum wage. it is just really sad. also, the working conditions used to be terrible there. they used to have no heat in the winter & no air conditioner in the fall. and the employers pressured us like crazy! but a whole bunch of people left & now, since they realized how dependent they are on the entry-level people, they have become a lot more laid-back again. i am so thankful for that. so my answer would be: wanting better pay, and wanting improved working conditions. also better management & co-workers. :)

Most of the answers were salary issues. Yes this is one of the main reason for looking another job. What if you found a job a bit lesser salary but it is located near your home where you will not spend transportation expenses? would you rather stay on your job or transfer to the other one?

How sad about your co-worker... Sometimes, there are employees that stays in their job whether on a minimum wage because they have to work for their family. sometimes they had no choice but to grab this work...It seems life is so unfair but I know this kind of situation happens for a reason..

I have a little bit of everything. I've been working in the same place for three years and there is no possibility of me moving upwards so I am looking for another job now; a full time job. That's the most important thing for me right now, now that I've graduated college I need a full time job so that I can be able to sustain myself. I have two part time jobs but that is not enough and that's why I'm looking for another job.

You are absolutely right! You need to find a full-time job for now. You can easily have it since you are already graduated from college. This is the time you can use your field of specalization. By the way, I am working in this company for almost nine years.

I wish I could stay at my current job because I love it so much! It's so easygoing and it has to do with literature. But the department is only four people; my boss, his assistant, me and another intern. Interns are part time and are paid by the hour and I need a job that gives me benefits and is paying me a salary but I can't do that where I am right now unless my boss' assistant gets another job or leaves. So yeah I'm doing what's best for me. It's good that you've been working at your company for nine years, that's a long time! As long as you like what you are doing and are earning enough to take care of yourself then that is all that matters.

Yes, I forgot to include the salary and other benefits. You also have to consider these two. It is not relative if you find another job having lower salary or benefits.
