Making One's Life Difficult.

There are times when doing the right thing is not always best. In 2009, someone left their cell phone behind. I got a volunteer and they came and got it. I told the person that night and she said that it was fine that I did not have her cell phone with me. A couple months later, after her husband or who ever he was, I start hearing her tell this lie to everyone how 2 people stole her cell phone. I work so I do not need to steal from anyone. After she started telling this lie to everyone who would listen, she and her friend started making life extremely difficult for me and my ex. I tried to talk to staff but they said there was nothing they could do. You have someone lying thru their teeth and you cannot tell them what will happen if they do not stop lying? They thought they are better than everyone else. I heard that they said that since he is a veteran he should be let in first. There are lots of homeless veterans who don't think that way. They got kicked out of the shelter for thinking they are so much better than everyone else. I even heard her say once, I am going to move to Arizona, there is no one crazy there. You have crazy people, criminals and those who love to cause trouble for others anyone where you go. Treat people who you want to be treated because that as with anything you do in this life, comes back to you.

Sadly that is true. You can do what you assume is going to be the right thing. And perhaps it will rather be something that is going to be right, but it is the right thing for the wrong person. That is always the problem, it is always the right thing for the absolutely wrong person to say the very least. Those who will turn your good deed around and slap it right back right into your face. It makes you regret your act of charity to say the very least. There are just going to be many people out there who you may help and regret immediately. It is really sad as it kind of punishes the good people out there by extension as you are a bit reluctant the next time, after being burned once. You never know what people are going to be like.
