I would be surprised if Scott Parker gets the job. I think the job will most probably go to Gerrard. But Scott is a real hard worker and a great team man, but I would really be surprised if he becomes the captain. The other person whose name is being thrown around is Joe Hart the goal keeper. Again I would be surprised if he is made the captain.
Cheers!

Scott Parker is usually the unspoken hero of his team. He does the dirty but equally important work. Given his low profile status, it is unlikely that he will be named as the captain. As for Gerrard, his appointment will be a step backward. My choice of the captain, Wayne Rooney.

Scot parker is a good player but i don't think he's ready to lead the national team. The burden is too much for him to beat when he didn't even get to play much in champion's league. With his little experience, i don't think he's able to be a good leader. England might be in transition now, with young players coming through the ranks, but where captaincy is concerned, it's better to leave to those with vast experience.

Yeah, many rumours for that.
Many also disagree if Parker be the captain. And prefer Gerrard than anyone else.
One problem. If Gerrard can't avoid his injury problems till the day come, then he would absolutely had any chance to hold the captaincy armband.
So, who knows? Parker will make a way for himself..
