Can we get rid of stress?

Stress occurs everyday. Different people have different degree of stree. It's nonsense if someone says: "Don't get stressed if you want your stomach ache relieved." Is it true that stomach ache is caused by stress? Stress is unavoidable but one can manage the stess in order that it will not destroy one's health. What do you think? How do you manage your stress?

Yanzalong, I totally agree that walking (or running) really fast until you are exhausted really works wonders. That is my main form of release. Also, yoga has proven to be a great source of strength. Stress is necessary for us to function, but if we do not manage the positive stress (eustress) we become distressed (negative stress). Striking a balance is the most important thing, in my humble opinion. And finding our optimal level of functioning. It is, however, proving to be one of my biggest challenges...finding the balance, I mean. Baby steps, baby steps.

Have you ever heard of Hash House Harriers? I am one of the club member. Even I was once the hash master. I enjoy the hash activity--jogging in groups in the jungle following the papar-marked trails.

Pamper yourself! :) Cook your favorite foods, or order. Go shower. Go to gym and release the tension and stretch ! Sleep well :]

What about you? How do you deal with it? In my response to others I haven't mentioned that I sometimes go to the nearby jungle and follow the jungle trails. This is good to have the stress relieved.

we cannot avoid stress in our daily lives. avoiding it is just another stress. it is part of our lives and we must face it. honestly, i am working in a super stress environment that is why when the day end i feel so stress. good thing we already have a son. he is our stress reliever and his presence is overwhelming that we go home we forgot all the pressures and stress we have acquired all the day while working. i am not suggesting to have a baby just to relieve stress. you can also try to have some exercise cause that really helps drain stress and recharge your body.

Stress is everywhere and no matter how small it is, it's still inside us. Nobody can be totally stress free. As long as we are able to keep it down, keep it in check, it's good enough. There are many ways to handle it, and the easiest way is to walk away for the moment and face it again with a different mindset. With a fresh start, it's going to be much easier, thus bringing down the stress level pertaining to that matter.

The best way is actually to walk as quickly as possible till you are really tired. What about you, how do you deal with stress? Do you go out in a car with your bf?

First of all I think to myself if this is really worth getting upset over. It is my health that is going to take the brunt of the stress. Sometimes you can't help it and get pulled in. When things get to be too much I go for a walk, stop and start reading a good book, drink a cup of tea. Tea actually helps lower stress levels. Stay away from caffeine because that increases stress levels. Talk to a friend or just go into a room alone and put the head phones on and listen to some music till I calm down. You can't get rid of stress completely but lowering the times it affects you will help your health.

You are lucky because you know how to handle it. Many don't know how to deal with it. When the stress reaches its peak, it causes a lot of physical problems which finally leads them to think that they are falling sick. If they fall sick because of this this uncontrolable stress, any medicine will no do any good, unless the stress itself is relieved.

After a long and stressful day of work, one way to get away of stress is to play with my little baby boy when I got home. All the stress will be wash out with a smile and laugh of my baby.

I know a great way to stay away from stress: cycle to work and from work every day. I know after a stressful meeting my stress came off me as I cycled home. Try to pick the most picturesque ride if you can. I used to cycle home via the cycle path next to the green fields. I stayed super fit so didn't feel much stress at all. I know that meeting up with friends or going out for days is a way to remain happy. I do believe some headaches and some stomach aches are due to stress. A headache can be because the person hasn't drunk enough water. I like to have a warm shower, listen to music, go out for a walk or go off traveling somewhere to stay stress free. Good luck.

There are many ways that I deal with my stress, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to use some of them. Reading a good book is a good way of relaxing. Mediation and relaxation exercises help me, as well. Another way I am able to relax is going for a walk. These are just some ways that I am able to relax and deal with stress.

Thank for responding. For me, I only do an easy one to deal with it. I walk or jog. I prefer this to reading. I get two benefits from walking. First, my stress can be relieved a bit, and secondly I can stay fit and healthy.

hello, When I am stress with all the projects and assignment i cant sleep and even eat because I am preparing for it. I dont know how to handle stress because it only occur for me every time that I have a time pressure or sudden unexpected situation. but when I am feeling stress I just stop for a while and think how can I handle those things and hopefully it really works.

Best way to manage stress is to prevent it from happening. As much as possible, don't let things become stressful. Preventive measures like doing those important things at a non urgent time rather than doing important things at urgent times. It can be as simple as that. However, we cannot escape the fact that life is full of surprises. Therefore, stress can come at a time that you don't have enough time to prevent it from happening. When this happens, focusing on the task or goals at hand is the solution. Don't be a worrier and never panic. Stress will devour only those that are not focused. Also, always try to be healthy and at your physical and mental best at all times. Stress won't come in when you are at your best always.

We really encounter stress everyday in any ways or manners.Stress is part of our life.Eating is one of my ways to relieve stress.I like to eat my fave foods.In work,walking a bit in the lobby of the building could be a way to relieve stress for a while.No matter how stressful the day is,I always make sure that it will be exchange into happiness at the end of the day,

as what ive knew i can get rid out of my stress thru working some house chores without minding it.Never give importance to it.Dont think of something else that will ruin ur whole day activity.Ignore and make use of ur time in a right things to do.With that, u will avoiding ur stress.....
