Is 2012 could be the end of the world?

After the devastation of flashfloods brought by typhoon Sendong/Washi that hit our area, came next was the 6.9 earthquake and landslide. A lot of lives have perished, innocent victims who were unaware that it was the unexpected end of their lives. A lot of calamities have already happened not only in our country but as well as in some parts of the world. No wonder a number of people have been telling us that this year could be our last year. I don't know yet some signs are now appearing to us.

We don't know when Jesus will come back but we need to be prepared for His return.

Amen to that. Jesus chose not to know when He will return so how come there are many "prophets" claiming to know when?

Jesus is already here :) and he didn't chosed because he couldn't predict the human evolution.

i dont think that the world is going to come to an end in 2012, with a lot of these disasters though they are tragic i believe that its just a concidence, global warming may also have to do with some of it.

It's not a coincidence. And global warming is nothing. The Earth changes and so we must. In 2012 will be a big change.

I think there is no need to think about that.
If that will happen, you can do nothing to stop that now.
So try to find out the wonderful parts of your life and enjoy it.
Believe it or not, I will go to travel and visit some other place before the end of the year.
I really hope that could happen.

I really can't say that I'm one of those who believe in this theory, in this belief. I just don't think that it's going to happen. I could be wrong. And if I am, well I'll find out sooner or later. Either way, I don't want to waste time worrying about it. I'd much rather just enjoy the time that I have with the people that I love.

You are right dodo. Worrying of things that do not happen yet would only multiply our wrinkles and rob us of our happiness. Meanwhile, stay tune to every little thing that makes life worth living.

It's the God that decides when is the end of the last day of the world.No doubt that the climate and the environment are becoming worse and worse. i think humans should learn to protect the world where humans live not only grabing resources.If it lasts,humans will deafeat themselves.

It will not happen, that's why in 2012 will die so many. Others are tired of us and finaly are ready to change this. They have to chose, change or die. And can't fool anyone this time.

We really don't know when but with what's happening in our country and different parts of the world others doubt this could be. With our great faith in God if this would be we can't do anything but be prepared. We do pray of course as much as possible we want to live longer, we want to stay together with our loved ones but if it's God's will, it would happen according to his plan.

If you think that it is the end of the world then it might happen. Remember: You are what you think. I don't believe that 2012 is the end of the world. It is not written in the Bible, right? Yes, there will be will more calamities that will happen in the world, but it is just a wake up call for us people to be more aware of our environment. Let's just hope that this calamities won't gonna ruin the whole world.

Its really not the end of the world..Its Gods will.Only God can declare when He ended the world for He is the one created us.Meaning He is our creator.No one can say that 2012 could be our ending year...No never in history...God only has the power to do what He wanted for us.....Thats unbelievable.....

I don't believe much that the world is to end this 2012. Calamities may just be part of the environmental changes. And besides, there are no geological studies yet presented to support the idea that the world will end this 2012. But if for instance that it is really true. Then lets not waste time doing nothing but let us be ready for the event.

If we base it on the Mayan calendar, it's not really the end of the world. It's just the end of the calendar (theirs). Meaning, that next year, the Mayan year will start again at 00000 ... (i don't know how many zeroes). :)
