I want to start my own business, what key points should I look at while preparing for a business. I have been working on something and would like some insight on certain things that I mat have left out in my preparation.

First you mus draw up a business plan.
Not a wish list but a proper plan with real acheiveable goals. It should step out to 5 years. You should break the 5 years down to 1 year steps. Try and acheive one important thing per year.
Obviously, one of the main reasons is to work for yourself, but you can only do that if you maintain a business goal approach.

hi,you are right in saying risks are involved and it should be calculated and weighed with potential benefits.I feel if a risk is too large it should not be taken up without a backup.
For a property business which was,is and always be a lucrative business,I would look out differently for different purposes. If it is for personal use,I'd prefer a spot that would have most amenities. For business,I would be on a look out for land that would be cheap and would have potential for development in near future ,like suburban area in and around big cities.
