I wish Hollywood would smarten up!

First Jackson, then Winehouse, and now Houston, all three died of senseless and preventable deaths. All three were dealing with substance addiction. All three died as results of substance addiction. It's a sad world, definitely not a life I want to pursue. I can only wish that Hollywood and the entertainment industry would be tougher on the entertainers who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. It's destorying their bodies, and destroying whatever chance of positive role models for our younger generation. \ So sad. All three artists passed away too soon. 3 talents wasted.

I agree with you Masihi that it is a tragic waste of young life and talent. But could it be argued that it is the entertainment industry (and therefore us, the buying public, without whom there would be no entertainment industry) who have given these stars the lifestyle to which substance abuse attaches itself?

Money don't mean anything in my opinion, as long as you have enough to eat and live on and not in debt. That's the problem with too much money nowadays you get a lot, you party hard and you get slick lawyers that'll get you off the hook - them stars need to take responsibility for their own actions. My heart goes out to the children and family members as well.

I agree with you it is very sad. But, not knowing them, or the real reasons for thing things that they did. They most likely had problems that, they were having trouble dealing with. It is times like that when people need their families the most. I am not saying their families didn't care of didn't try. Because, I don't know, the facts. I am just say, when people have a addiction problem, it's usually a family member, who is the first to step up and try and get them, the help they need. But, ultimately, it is the person, with the problem, who has to choice to want, to get better. Sadly, many people with addictions. Don't want to get better.

Ya, I know about the feeling of addiction, it's powerful! And these stars feel like they need the substances in order to continue on - not only the pressures of work, but the social life is really stressful from what I can understand from the tv thingy I watch. I definitely don't want to be in their shoes at all.
