before the african cup, Ivory coast is favourite for all football fans
with the complete and many stars in ivory coast team, it is normally if we predict that ivory coast will be winner..
and the prediction near true when the final african cup, there are ivory coast
thats like the scenario
and the opponent of Ivory coast is only zambia..many people began to underestimate Zambia..
they forgot, that the biggest mistake is begun when you underestimate your opponent.
maybe that happens with Ivory coast player...
and the game will be zambia day..
they become the african cup winner in their first winner
and that history for Zambia, because their best achievement before this tournament is 2 times become runner up in 1974 and 1994..
i think my prediction is not true too...i bet for Ivory coast

Zambia is a surprise winner in this african cup, but they do deserve to win for sure. They are playing for their nation as well as the same national team that crashed their plane on the first day of tournament. With nothing at stake except for their will and hopes, they do play some attractive football en route to the finals. Ivory coast are the overwhelming favorites and that's how they crash. Burden is too heavy on them, while Zambia only has to play their best for the team that crashed and they won.

zambia had make surprised many people because many of football lovers predicted that Ivory coast and Ghana are the favourite the game..
Zambia can close all the limited with making a good team performance..i mean they play as team and it can beat the star team like Ghana and Ivory coast

Zambia is definitely the underdog in the tournament but they ensure that there is fairytale ending to the latest edition of the ANC. If I remember correctly, the final is held at the country where an airplane crashed killed the entire Zambia national team. How adapt that Zambia won the title at the same country as a tribute.

Again Ivory Coast flatter to deceive. Again, they promised a lot but fell short at the final hurdle. It was a great victory for the Zambian team. I think they were motivated by the 1993 Zambia air disaster when they lost their entire first team to the crash!!

I was also willing to bet on Ivory Coast for this tournament and they did a good job until the final,but I definitely didn't expect to see Zambia there,they were a huge surprise and I think their coach,Herve Renard,deserves all the praises for the way he approached all the matches and especially the final,where his less experienced team wasn't intimidated at all by the impressive names in the Ivorian squad and played with courage and determination.I think Zambia exceeded all the expectations and caused one of the biggest surprises in the history of the African Cup of Nations,but surprises are those which make football even more exciting and I congratulate the Zambia for becoming the kings of Africa for the first time,they really deserved to win this trophy.

History repeated.
Just like the story when the Greece won Euro 2004 (hope i'm not mistaken for the year.)
Many people also bet for Portugal at that time, with the so many stars in their team. But history told us that Greece is the one who finally can lift the trophy.
Same story for Zambia here. I myself bet for Ghana. But it's amazing how they were beaten by Zambia in semifinal. And even more amazing that Zambia also beat Ivory Coast.
Cheers to Zambia. And felt sorry for Ivory Coast.

yeah Greece can won euro cup in 2004..
its still same when in Final , portugal is favourite because many stars (note : in that year, ronaldo is nothing.he is still young player..There are still Rui costa, Luis Figo, Nuno Gomez etc)..and they become favourite because they are host of this tournament..
so a little different because now Ivory coast is not host of this tournament..
But zambia follow what Greece had done...so never underestimate your opponent maybe is the key for winning in one tournament

It is always nice to see an underdog win against a much fancied big brother. It was easy to go for Ivory Coast with their star-studded players. That was the reason they were the favorite of almost everybody. Zambia did well in regulation and extra time and won in the penalties. I feel sorry for Ivory Coast especially Drogba who missed the chance to be the winner in so many attempts and is not likely to be around in the next African Nations Cup. I don't think the Zambians were underestimated. They played well. They won.

i cheered for zambia in the finals,they really deserved the victory,it was really an interesting and nice game to see.Lucky them also,that Drogba missed that penalty.For me was one of the villains in ivory coast.But the truth is that better an united team playing with much will than a team full of stars playing with lack of attention.
