Texting is the very modern trend of asking someone out. So here is the situation. You like this girl and you want to invite her for dinner or a date. She is somewhat in a higher status or standard than you are but you still like to invite her out(friendly date or just getting to know date). How can you text that girl out? what will be your moves? If i were a man, i would just text her. First introduce myself, where did we meet or if we have met before. Second ask here out on her vacant/available time. On the day I would have fetch her from where she works and let her choose the place where to eat. Sometimes miracles do happen if you just try. how about you? how can you ask that girl out?

Whatever happened to "human interaction"? I do believe there's a time & place for everything but asking a girl out on a date through a text message is as bad as getting fired from a job through an e-mail... I mean, if the girl doesn't mind, I guess it's not my place to judge but it sounds too impersonal to me... If I was to ask a girl out, I would walk up to her & say, "Hey, how about grabbing something to eat together?". I don't know, that seemed to have worked for me when I was single... But that's just me...

You know what I like your style. It's straight forward and not cheesy at all. I'm a girl so I haven't really tried asking someone out especially thru text but I have a friend who's also a girl who received a text from a boy confessing his feelings to her, although he wasn't really asking her out. But it was really cheesy and kind of romantic at the same time. What he did was texted my friend if he can "borrow a calculator", and then after so many spaces then added "so that I can calculate our compatibility" or something like that, I can't really remember the exact words. It was really cheesy but somehow effective coz they are now going out together. LOL!

I may be hopelessly old fashioned, but texting to ask for a date doesn't seem right. If a guy really likes a girl, what's wrong with asking face to face? I know it takes more courage, but so does getting out of bed some mornings. I'd almost bet that she would be more inclined to go with a guy who has enough self confidence and good common sense to ask her to her face than one who hid behind his cellphone.
