here in my city, Curitiba, the workers of public transportation entered a strike. The daily commute system that transports more than 1 million passagers dailey was completley stopped. Here in Brazil, a politics man, who goes to his work place twice a week and doesn't even have studies, wins R$13,500 a month and also gets benefits and also gets a 13th salary. That is about US$7,000. A bus worker who works almost 12 hours a day and also on weekend gets R$1,500 a month with very small beneftits. That's about US$750 a month to pay for their home, their food and their life. People are mad here because the workers are on strike and they can't commute to their jobs but I think they are right. It is a drastic measure but I hope they get what they want, THEY DESERVE IT! Curitiba has the best public transportation system in the world but pays spare change to their hard workers.

tranport groups having their strike have an intention to make. so that their voices can be heard and actions will be done byt the government. but the commuters will suffer for the action of the strikers.. but you can't do anything because it'w their way of living.
