Can anyone help me? I am using Linux software for the first time and am still learning. It is so different than windows. Anyway, I have lost my bottom line with the date and time and the picture of the two monitors etc. Does anyone know how I get it back...Go easy on me. I'm very green! Thanks in advance

That's great, I have also tried linux particulary ubuntu and puppy linux.
I really recommend puppy linux because it's easy to learn and fast.
Nevertheless, ubuntu remains to be the best distribution for newbies like us.
Those two monitors are your desktop, you can switch desktops by using them. I am not really sure what happened probably you accidentally hid it.
Anyway, the best help I can suggest is that you join a linux forum specifically depending on what distro are you using. There are a lot of helpful and active linux forums.
Lastly, I guess you can reinstall it? I know it might be a hassle but that's the only thing I can think of aside from navigating through the menus and settings until you find what fixes the issue.
Sorry if I can't help you.
Happy lotting! :)
