A lot of issues are being thrown at this sensitive topic. Even in the churches there are lots of debates about it whether it is immoral or not? Different school of reasons have had their fair share of answering their opinion of this topic. So how about you, are contraceptives immoral or not?

I think by reading some of the responses, that they appear to be talking about couples that are married. I agree that a family should have the right to use contraceptives to help raise a proper family and be able to provide for them. However... When we talk about contraceptives I would think we are talking about the unmarried youth. I still believe it is wise to use contraceptives because the alternative is a child being born that can not be taken care of properly. Oh well...just my opinion.

Are we talking here of the Reproductive Health Bill which was completely forgotten due to the impeachment trials? According to many studies, poverty can be caused by over population. We are in a developing country where people put so much importance on the teachings of the church. The church does not seem to realize that the population needs to be controlled because the government cannot certainly provide for all the needs. Poor families often end up with more children than they can afford to sustain with proper nutrition and education. The use of contraceptives is not immoral since this is a way to plan a family and at the same time assure the safety and health of the mother. Couples must have access to these contraceptives for responsible parenthood.

wow, nice complements... haha it was forgotten already due to that trial... I agree with you that "couples must have access to it..." if this is costly to them then just go to the health center in minimal cost and/or free consultations.

for me in my opinion contraceptives are not immoral it is immoral if you give birth to a child and cant provide their needs and suffers from hunger and immoral if a person got pregnant and undergo abortion because they are not ready to face the obligation of being a mother

We do have this kind of debate in our school. As for me, contraceptives is not immoral. I find it to be good rather than aborting a fetus. What makes contraceptives immoral based on the church it's because it prevents life.

I think not. The church is against this thing I know. But they don't know that people are suffering from poor knowledge about family planning. For the 3rd world country, people blame the government because of poverty, while the church is against about contraceptive and they say "Go to the world and multiply!" Pff.
