I am interested in affiliate marketing but have no idea how or where to start. To start I would like to start a blog/website somewhere for free, so I would like info on that. Then what products are the best sellers? I'm more interested in legit items, health, crafts, and self improvement. The products don't have to be expensive but reliable, safe, and interesting. I'm not trying or believing that I will get rich, but I would gradually like to make a living and realize that this will take a while to get established. Also, are there any place online that you can get paid for writing reviews on books, household items and things of that nature. I belong to a couple PTC sites and I do make a small amount from them, but would like to try other ideas. No investing or recruiting I'm just not to good at those things.

Start your blog. Blogger.com is a great site to host a free blog, so is wordpress. As you get better consider hosting your own, from what I understand Wordpress.org is the place to go for this, though I am sure there are many other sites to work from. Then, if you want to affiliate market, this is a wonderful place to start, https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ and depending on what country you are from, there may be better sites for you to use then Amazon, and it is a simple as finding the "become an affiliate" button, usually on their main page. This is a good start, and there is always more to learn. Let me know how it goes.

It's so easy to conceptualize something like that, but when you are there working on it, you will discover that it is not that easy. Selling online is not that easy, especially with products that comes with shipping costs. Most people, when they need to buy things they need such as health products, crafts or whatsoever, they usually buy them offline and seldom online. In my opinion, if you want to get good results in affiliate marketing, unless you are good at online selling, I mean you are good at promoting products and doing follow-ups, better concentrate on promoting intangibles (services) than promote tangibles (products that you can hold by your hand). You know why? Tangible products usually are expensive to buy online as compared to buying them offline, given the shipping costs it incurs. On the other hand, intangibles, those services that are delivered through digital delivery, such as downloadable products and domain/hosting services, they are less expensive to buy because customers are not going to be charged with expensive shipping costs. Now, if ever you decide to promote digital products (such as hosting services), always remember to "be the product of your own product". What do we mean by that? Use the product/service yourself. Let's say for example, if you are to promote a paid hosting service, buy yourself a hosting service first. By doing so, you will be well acquainted with product/service you are promoting. When you are good at it, then your customers will sense that you are good at it, and they will probably buy from you! Plus, using a free website to make money in affiliate marketing, is usually a "no, no" in affiliate marketing. People usually don't buy from websites that are cheap, I mean those hosted in free hosting. Customers usually have the impression that sellers using "free hosted sites" are "small-time sellers". If you get yourself a good website, somewhat like a self-hosted wordpress blog with a decent domain name, you can build a good first impression with your target customers, and there's a better chance they will buy from you. I hope these tips help.
