Are you religious in taking your vitamins?

Many times I have bought some vitamins or food supplements which I supposed to take regularly but always fail to take them as prescribed that they would just expire in their containers. Either I forget them in the morning or in the afternoon. Sometimes I even bring them in the office so that I could take them after my lunch but to no avail because as usual I forgot to take them due to some interruptions during lunch breaks. How I wish there is a bell in my medicine kit which would just make a sound every time I am supposed to take it.

can't you just set an alarm on your phone every time you are supposed to take it? or take it with breakfast?

No, I'm not religious in taking my vitamins. Our Chemistry instructor educated us not to take vitamins daily. Why? It's because if our body doesn't need that vitamins then it will be useless. It is better to take vitamins twice or thrice a week.

This is the first time that I got information of not taking some vitamins regularly when most people, even the doctors have suggested that we need to have some vitamins, if not some food supplements to keep our body healthy.Kindly elaborate why your Chemistry instructor had made mentioned about taking some vitamins twice or thrice a week only.Thank you.

Before when i was still staying with my parents they would usually let me take my vitamins regularly eventhough how much i don't like to take them. But i usually get sick when i was still staying there with them, but now i don' get pretty much often now that i am away from home and don't take vitamins anymore. Haha. Maybe i'm just allergic to vitamins or something, but so far i haven't gotten sick since i stopped taking vitamins for 3 months already. In your case, you could try buying a pill case where you could take with you everywhere so that you won't forget taking your medicine after every meal.

airamtheb: yes. I am religious in taking vitamins it is because I am 62+ and I feel I am losing my strength if I do not take vitamins prescribed regularly. If you are young you may forget to take vitamins.

The only thing that I take daily is my prenatal vitamins. I have taken them since I first found out I was pregnant with my first son, and haven't stopped. Now I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby, and I make sure I take them!

I really take my vitamins religiously. It's always after taking my breakfast. It's already in a small platter, near me. Hence, it would be automatic that i will take them after breakfast. I know that for vitamins to have its good effect it should be religiously taken in, so i do make it a point to have them everyday.

This reminds me that I still haven't started the multi-vitamins that my friend gave me. Her husband is a doctor and she would often gave us the medicines and vitamins we needed. She think that I need to gain weight again, not to the extend that to be 130lbs again, but a little weight is all I need. I am thinking of taking it but as soon as I got home, I always feel sleepy that I always forgot it. I don't want to take it in the morning for fear that I might be sleepy at work and that would be difficult too.

Before when I was really into trying to gain weight. For two months, I have bought a bottle of multivitamins. I take one religiously. The effect is really good as I really gained weight and slept really good everyday. But then I stopped taking it when I can see that I am still gaining more weight.
