i'm working for guru.com and peopleperhour. that's a freelance site, same as odesk. i can get a lot of work from those site. i resigned from my former job, just to focus on doing freelance jobs online, which gives better payments than the studios that i worked before. but not all freelancer can be so lucky to get jobs from those sites. you must have a good (i mean reaaaally good) resume and portfolios so clients will choose you for their projects. and sometimes, the clients themselves are looking for me so they can have me work for them because they can see my projects posted there and they can see how professional work. i can say that these sites are legit, because these are real jobs. the biggest project payment i received from those site is $2000 for 3 illustrations done in a week. you can see the artwork posted in my deviantart. http://adf.ly/5Cap2

Oh artauxeo you must be very good that clients like you and they still wants your work. Wow $2000 for a week that is very big amount. I have a very good friend also who works as a freelancer and she said she is also earning good. I have also a dream of working as a freelancer and starting to build my plan business. But it is difficult on my part to start because I have many bills and my current job now takes too much time.

keep in mind, you're just a one time big time in freelance sites. so after you finished the job, you have to look for more so you can sustain. i'm taking 5 projects simultaneously. my wife is assisting me on it.

I second MTurk. It is operated by Amazon and very legit. They pay via PayPal. There are thousands of opportunities to choose from. Some pay as little as 4 cents and some go up much higher. It all depends on your experience. Good luck.

Try freelancer, Odesk, elance, site. You can find work there and mazimixe your earnings. I do work freelancer and odesk, I found out very hard to apply especially when you are a new comer. When I applied for Odesk I experienced rejection and also when someone hired me and if I feel I don't fit in on the type of job I declined it. Right now I still have a job and I want to pursue this thing, Although its hard to earn huge money immediately but I keep on pushing myself to further and reach the bi amount
