is keeping me from buying a house right now. They told me to wait three months before so that my credit score can go up and for me to always be on time with my bills and dont be late so you can get a better credit score. its really hurting me right now on buying a house i wanted to get started and get the ball moving because i have stuff at my house and the boyfriends house. Has this ever happened to you? I know three months isnt a long time but what am i going to do for now? I live with my parents but it seems so hard at times.

A friend of mine also needing a loan to get approved so he can move out of his parents with his wife. He desperately need all his credit card debt to be paid off, then boosting up his credit score, and increasing the income to debt ratio, and hopefully he can get a loan after he file his tax return. I hope that you can get your credit up soon too.

I know what you mean. A couple of years ago, me and a friend of mine put down money for a condo. It was supposed to be a rental property, and my ticket to living a little bit more comfortably. Unfortunately, my credit score wasn't so good that time, so I was not approved for a mortgage. I've been trying to improve my score ever since.

My husband and I are renting our apartment right now. We both have student debts, and quite a few bills to pay off. As much as we want to own a house of our own, we realize that it's going to be a while. We want to pay off our debts, and save up some money, so that we can then buy a house. We know it'll most likely be years, before we reach that point, but we're willing to wait.

yes, 3 months is not that long but while waiting you might wanna try other creditor/lender. Each has their own preffered credit scoring model so you might get a better feedback or offer from others. If still no go, then sadly you really have to wait and keep everything (on your report) monitored.

Bad credit is so hard to get rid of and it is something that literally sticks with you. I am divorced and my credit was ruined for years because of this. Normally bad things stay on your credit for 7 or 10 years and you can have them removed after this period of time. I hope your credit score goes up in these 3 months. Good luck.

Three months seems to me to be a very short time to wait to get the house you want. Sometimes it is difficult to be patient, but you will be blessed at the end of that time. I know how hard it is to live with your parents. I love them. They love me, but after you've had your independence it just doesn't always work. Just love 'em and thank 'em and be patient.

I've been in a similar situation before. I couldn't even get a small personal loan from the bank due to my very bad credit standing. It was my fault though since I had been remiss on my credit card payments. Three months isn't that long. I had to wait almost two years and had sent several request letters to have my name de-listed from the "black list" of the association of credit card companies, which banks also use. We have this in my country. Anyway, why don't you just use those three months to earn more :)

I know the feeling about living with your parents because my husband and I are doing that right now. My husband has a serious foot condition and is unable to work and because he needs care I have to stay at home with him. My mother keeps on saying that I need to get a job and help them pay their debt. I told my mom that we get food stamps and I am wiling to help with food and I have already taken over the heat bill. My mother wants us to pay rent and I told her up front that we cannot afford to pay for anything else because our storage bin is expensive and we have to have money for gas in the car and also for the car insurance. I am also trying to pay off my debts that are on my credit report so when my husband and I can get on our feet again we can buy a house. I have a few debts that are old and I am going to see if I can negotiate payments and have them taken off my credit report or see if they can list it as paid in full. The only money we have coming in is financial aid from school (I am almost done with my first Masters and will be going on for my second Masters and Randy is going for his Bachelor's since he cannot work for at least a year). I wish you the best of luck.

We rent a flat now, and don't plan on moving into a home until we get all of our debt paid off. Right now I only have 2 debts to look after, and about ten years to look after them. By then our kids will be teenagers and will require a 3-bedroom place, so we'll have to work on debt reduction as fast as we can. I know my credit score is bad. I'm scared to even think of applying to find out what my score is. There's no way we can get a mortgage right now, and even if we did get a mortgage we wouldn't be able to pay that and my regular debt payments together on our income.

I can understand you perfectly well that at a certain age, you want independence, to live with your boyfriend or even just single. This is something that I would do. Certain that life often puts barriers in front of our projects, as in your case, where, if I understand you are unable to live independently from your parents. Even then I do not either have a job, so my future although 37 years have already seen him "difficult"
