just out of curiosity, how many people acutally watch cupcake wars?? i have to admit, i don't watch every single episode. if i don't see anything else on to watch, i'll watch the show. i'm always amazed at how they can mix different flavors together and make it sound so good. then they make all those different decorations, is awesome. maybe i should go to culinary school and learn those techniques.

Sounds a very delicious and yummy show but I haven't watch it and thanks for giving me an idea I am looking forward to watch it. I have been looking for resources on how to bake cupcakes and still finding enough time to visit the bookstore for a book on how to make cupcakes.

I used to watch, but I haven't in awhile. I always enjoyed the second part where they make more traditional cupcakes and have to focus on the decorating. The first part, where they have to use unusual ingredients isn't so interesting to me. It's pretty amazing when they can make weird things good enough for the judges to like eating, but I like to see the sweet cupcakes that you'd see in a bakery.

sometimes i think the bakers are told ahead of time what ingredients are going to be on set so they can figure out what they want to make. i have a hard time pulling ideas out of thin air like they do. i have to plan out all my meals and that's including desserts too. if i want to try anything new, i have to have a recipe. i don't dare experiment with ingredients without a recipe.

I catch it when I can find it! Never can remmber when it is on but it is in reruns all week long! I enjoy watching it, but at the same time..they give them such short periods of time and they have to do so much in that short period of time, that it almost takes away the fun of watching, leaving me exhausted and with the "what'd they do?" or other question. I mean, I know they only have an hour (less with commercials) but still....just so much going on in that short time frame. Plus...the makers...they put so much stuff in a single cupcake, it's like....what happened to the cake mix cupcake?!!! When they tell about their cupcake, the "name" of it is so long, I forget what they said! Just last night I watched one...and they start with telling about the ingredients of the batter, then on to the ingredients of the icing, then the ingredients/item of the topper/decoration. And Im like..."huh? You put what in there?" But I still watch. I also watch/miss Cake Challenge where they have 8-10 hours to bake a monstrous sized cake. But that again..they added things the bakers have to do in addition to baking the cake...go find clues for this or that. Again, so much going on in such short period of time. I am afraid they have pushed it to the limit and will be ending these shows before long. I hope not, but fear they will!

I don't always watch the show but I don watch it from time to time when there isn't anything else to watch. I enjoy watching how they get all creative and the different kind of cupcakes out there.
