I joined a facebook group the other day cause I was so fed up with the stupidity of others in my life that it made me feel slightly better to know there were others who have this same problem with people who are the dumbest you have ever come across. It also has someone saying that stupid people always seem to win. Do you beleive they win? What do they really win anyways and how? I guess they think they use their ignorance to win out in every situation.

I think often times, people rather are going to stumble backwards into some kind of victory. Then again, there are sometimes where there are a lot of people who overthink things, because those who are smarter, that's what we do. We think, often times a bit too much. There have been times where we have outsmarted ourselves, which can be considered stupid. It does seem like those who...well stupid might be a harsh word, but people who shouldn't really seem to win, might win. Then again, there are just a lot of times where there might be a level of intelligence beyond what we perceive. People putting off an aura that they are less than competent and then they come back and win. But many who seem to not have it all together win. Such is life, I'm afraid.

Such is life I agree, but I would so like to see these mean, stupid types who have no concern for others if they are jealous, hateful, spiteful, and just plain controlling in most cases, get theirs and it doesn't ever seem like they do. Things just go their way all the time, they get all their sleep, feel no anquish or remorse about what they do, etc etc. Baffling.

I wonder these things myself. There are alot of who I call "Jerks" that seem to win in every situation they come across.I have a lying Ex, that won't get out of my life.He abuses the court system to get revenge on me.He's very stupid and illiterate, but people always believe everything he says , therefore ,he wins out in every situation. So I have to say he does use his ignorance to win out. What he does is make people feel sorry for him, to get his way.

It makes me wonder a lot, too, but by "stupid" I can also mean how mean some people can be or other derogatory things. It's not always on an intellectual level but for me it is combined with ignorance and mean spiritedness. At least with two of the people I'm referring to. I'm sorry to hear about your EX, you'd think someone who acts on his level will be caught one day but it seems they are never caught. :(

It's not like they win but it's more like they didn't care about losing or whatsoever. More like ignorance. Just don't let them get to you. They don't even care if we're angry or stress, thanks to them.

I'm not so sure they don't care about winning, they just go about it in an easy way, cause thats all they have to go on, nothing else with character.

I can agree, I see that those people who don't care about anything and anyone else except themselves, seem to win very often. They don't put energy in thinking if they do something wrong and can only concentrate on what they want - at least how I see it. While others pay a lot of attention not to hurt others and to play fair, and still seem to lose - but at least they win others' respect and sympathy more easily.

Yep, it is referred to as selfishness. I am the latter type of personality. I do have my own moments when I'm not feeling well where I will be a little grouchy etc but that is just being human.

They THINK they have won but we know better. The thing is, you cannot argue with stupid people because you would stoop down on their level and you would just waste your energy stating your argument that they cannot seem to grasp. So in the end you would give up because of exhaustion and they THOUGHT they have won.

That is exactly it, they THINK they know everything! I am at my wit's end sometimes. The person I am talking about is like a total uneducated person who doesn't know anything and yet starts up alot of drama almost everyday. Negativity just spews out of them. I'm not sure if I can wipe them totallyout of my life though ( long story) cause of other ties I have with others they know. Its just so a win loose situation.

I can understand you. In your case it would be really hard to ignore those kind of people and I am sure it would consume much of your effort. However, do not let yourself be consume in their 'negativity'. Always remember that you are a better person than they are so stay away from them as much as possible.

Maybe it is just imagination that they are winners. But they are not winning. And you never know, for example you or me can be stupid in someone others eyes, and if I would be successful with something, one may thing that I get it for free but maybe no one know how hard I worked to reach that. I hope you know what I mean. It is just thing of opinion and poin of view

hi nailtech what gets me is rude sales people who act like you have insulted them if you ask where some item is. I found that usually a 'fellow customer will overhear me and tell me oh the peanut butter is over two aisles with the jams and jellies. I thank the person and go find the peanut better. the jerk sales clerk is still talking to 'a pretty woman sales clerk. this was ikn Walmart where there seems to be a lot of sales clerks that make you wonder how they got their' jobs. i doubt very much if stupidity wins unless it wins a pink slip for some stupid clerks.

Wow, I have not experienced too much from a rude sales clerk except maybe once I was kind of taken aback by one that told me to go elsewhere (another cashier) when she was doing nothing. It was the jewlery dept in fact. So I went and left her to do her "job" of absolutely nothing and left the store.
