A basic ticket then make additions

I know the sort of trip a travel agent chooses himself or herself. He or she would be likely to buy a basic round the world trip and then do some side trips to visit more places. For example: London to Bangkok to Bali to Sydney to Johannesburg to London. He or she might take a couple of side trips out of Thailand like India, the Philippines or overland to Vietnam via Cambodia and Laos. Out from South Africa he or she might visit Madagascar and Mauritius. Bangkok and Johannesburg are good gateway cities. Which countries would you like to see on a free world trip? Would you get a basic ticket or a complicated ticket? Why? Are there any additional places you would like to do a side trip to?

Italy, greece, eastern europe. I think the complicated ticket sounds best. Side trips are what travel is all about. The major hubs are too well known and its much more fun to do things different.
