How do you know when you're really starting to feel some sort of burn out from what you're doing? Do you generally start losing interest, getting worse at what it is you've becoming burnt out on, or something else? For me, generally it's feeling lethargic and bored with something. Maybe losing my mojo.

yeah, there comes a point when one can not perform well because of the feeling of burned out. one could not simply exert more effort because there is none to give. the regularity and predictability of one's work make one to lose the steam and meaning of what s/he does. one needs revitalization and reenergization to get back to work productively. have a vacation or reprimand maybe two different things, but they can provide energy to the worker.

Oh a vacation would really resolve it all, I am sure. I have not been on one in years, it see,s. I don't think a one day thing is called a vacation either so can't even count those. My entire immediate family has been this way. No money although we have had different offers I'm sure to go here and there from friends and family members.
