everyday I watch news on television, it is often taking lives even at the most convenient home and should be the safest one can say. Crime rate is getting high. just driving and hit one's bumper or something, the one show a gun and pull the trigger. Just heated argument and a man shot his wife, mom-in-law and other relative in the house, Just walking and riding Jeep, all of a sudden someone is a hostage already. I am apologizing, but sometimes I feel unsafe in my own country nowadays... Everyday and I mean almost everyday, there is a new crime issue and I even wander how these newscasters stand the pressure of getting bad news and delivering it everyday of their lives. Its funny when they say, "Good morning and here's the latest news, A man was shot several times..." and so on and forth.. where's the good in the morning on that? I just don't get it. I don't know if too much media freedom is good because we get to be informed even the most shocking things and we become alert or too much of it makes u paranoid on people and the country that you are in... guys, inform me, where and what country has the very low crime rate or no crime at all? Where is the safest place to retire, just feel God's wonder, when you can walk in the middle of the night without ever thinking that your throat will be slash anytime. Thank you.

Hello luisaR, yes it is true that there is no place that is really safe, but I have read that the crime rates in New Zealand are almost nil and also very very low in the Scandinavian countries like Denmark, Norway etc.
As far as my country goes, India is rampant with terrorism and Naxalites in many places, chiefly in Norther border regions and Eastern and Central regions. My home state Maharashtra, in the West of India, is comparatively very very safe and I am proud that each year we have thousands of tourists! :)
