I could keep a dress for more than 10 years with less wear and tears. my dress mostly were the classical type so they often last whatever the latest fashion as they never get out of style. i mean of the classic style like those shirt with collar with plain colors, skirts, jeans and so on and i i rarely buy the in fashionable dress so i save a lot. rather than spending on clothes i buy more stuffs which could satisfy me the most. do mix and match most of the time.

ten years? that way too long. how you manage to keep them? maybe you only buy designer clothes or those with famous brand that they are still last so long.me, could remember my most treasure dress last only for 2 years and with constant wear they get fade and worn so they going to be donated. when it comes to my everyday wear they last only for a months, and so because of the detergents and with laundering they get worn out easily.

Not only designer clothes last that long. There are cheaper brands that last longer than designer clothes. As I have observed, some designer clothes, especially the new ones now doesn't last long as the quality of the cloth isn't good. Most of the cloths now are so thin which is why you have to be careful when washing them.

My clothes last not only for 10 years but more and I sure can fit on them since my weight 10 years ago is the same as the present. I don't often buy clothes but when I buy I always choose those that are chic and tasteful. It may be more expensive than those sold off the rack but it becomes more cost effective in the long run. I try to lessen the wear and tear on my clothes by washing them with my hands and not on the washing machine. I don't squeeze out the water but hang them immediately after laundry. Clothes can be expensive and I have special favorites that I don't want to lose due to wear and tear.

I don't keep a dress for that long. I don't own very many dresses, and I can only wear a dress so many times before everyone has seen the dress several times. I try to buy simple dresses that can be worn to different types of events.

Hello flower21, I could keep my clothes for a long time too. In fact I still have my shirts and some of my pants with me. It's been there for more than a decade already. I have given away some, but some I couldn't easily give as they were my favorite back then. I have a black dress I wore in one important occasion before, it's been with me since 2002 and just last Sunday as I was digging up my old clothes I saw it and tried it on and it still fits me well!

We are actually the same. I love to call our kind as the "realist" type. It is easier to save more money this way. You can also keep the clothes you love for long periods if you do this.

Most of them wear off quite soon, only some, very few stay the same way for even up to 10 years. in fact, the one i had bought for a high cost would wear off early and the one with low cost which i thought i could wear only for a year or two have surprised me by staying for more 6 or 7 years now

Well, that's good, I'm sure you save money doing it that way. Personally I couldn't live without clothes shopping, it's like my passion in life. . I don't have that many dresses, as I'm not REALLY girly girly, but I have a few sundresses I have worn on occasion - none are more than a year or two old, however.
