So many people are running around this month on Facebook and Twitter, everywhere virtually, reciting quotes and stating facts that they had to research in order to even know. Schools are teaching the same exact facts and issues every single year and there is no broadening of the horizons for students. Most only know facts about Martin Luther King Jr. Black History is not just for Black people and African Americans. Black History is American History and should be embraced as such, not taught during one month of the year... but every month that school in session. There is lots to be known and learning different parts of history will ensure that it doesn't repeat itself. Broaden your horizons people! Go learn something today that you didn't know yesterday!
