I won't spend that much on shoes!

The other day two of the woamn I work with were trying to convince everyone in the kitchen to buy work shoes that cost a one hundred dollars a pair or even more a pair! There is no way I want or will pay so much for shoes! I wear shoes I find thrown out before they were even broken in! I wear my shoes out before I wear another pair! I am not wasting money on shoes! For work or for other reasons! Finding ones that fit that are thrown out before their time and I rarely spend over 40 dollars for shoes! I am not made out of money and I'll stick with my shoe system!

I know a lot of cooks wear clogs. I've bought cheap clogs and they do the same thing-support my feet very well, naturally.

Yes, the clogs are very comfortable and cheap, expecially for oriental people. As a chinese boy, i love waring clogs in summer. When i was walking around the crouds, the girls always think it cool. But if you are not accustomed to ware it, you will encounter much trouble, such as slipping down.

Hi blue! Clogs are great for anyone's type of food! Flat or high arch, clogs both support your feet and absorb the tough impact of walking on cement or stone, naturally with wood! If they don't come with a slip resistant sole, have some put on them by a shoe repair shop!

Hi Blue, I'm not a big shoe person either. I look for what is comfortable and cheap. My favorites are this pair of Arizona sweater boots that I bought last year at the end of winter on clearance at JCP. They were originally more than I'd ever pay for shoes but on clearance, they were 20.00. I had a 10.00 coupon and so I got them for 10.00. They are so so comfy....like wearing slippers. I have a good pair of boots for snow and a few pair of flip-flops, a pair of dress shoes that will last a life time. I really should get a pair of sneakers. I go from winter shoes to flip-flops.

Oh blue...I used to feel the same about the flip flops. I assume you haven't tried the ones that have the cloth thong. It does not hurt and is so so comfortable. I can't wear those rubber ones either.

With the mild winter here I have not had to wear my winter boots much! They were cheap and will last along time! I would not wear flip flops if I could! I can't stand the thong part in between my toes! Anyway I live in sneakers 90% the time! I have only a few pairs of shoes and that is enough for now!

I won't spend that much money on shoes as well... not even for dress... i don't earn much and i can't afford to spend that kind of money... i prefer to spend my money on other more beneficial things for me like paying for my mortgage, bills and insurances... take care and have a nice day...

Yes bills are more important then buying expensive things like shoes! My bills are always paid first and then I get my monthly supplies! After that there is not much left over! There is no way I could, even if I wanted buy expensive shoes! Some people just don't get it!

Unfortunately, I have to pay that much for shoes, but I wear them totally OUT! I mean, the seams are splitting on the pair I'm wearing... and I wear them every day!

I've had foot problems since I was a child, if I don't get shoes with really large toe boxes, I am in PAIN, and I also need good arch support, tho I wear inserts for that.

wow..that is very expensive indeed. My most expensive shoes is not even half that price, like 30-40 dollars only.. I wonder what that shoes is like, maybe its really comfortable or the brand is really famous.

I would never in a million years spend that much money on a pair of shoes. I wear my shoes till they die and I need a new pair. I bought a new pair of shoes the other day for like $16 they where originally a lot more expensive but I wanted to get a par that looked good felt good as my feet get bigger from my pregnancy.

My feet have gottan wider and bigger over the years. Probaly because I am on my feet most of the day at work. Anyway I have not spent over $25.00 on shoes when I needed shoes! That was the last time I had to buy shoes! I was sticking with the cheaper then that shoes! I think I will! I can't see spending a ton of of money for shoes!

I can't see myself spending tons of money for shoes either. I'm glad I found some nice pregnancy shoes that will work when my feet start to get fat and swallow. That isn't the fun part of being pregnant at least not for me. My poor pregnancy shoes from last year well they are pretty much worn out with holes all in them.

I quite agree with you! And I also have the preference to ware leisure shoes for doing daily work. I prefer soft shoes to leather ones, for soft shoes wear comfortable and I can run or walk faster. When I ware leather shoes I can't walk fast and I get tired even when I run only for a few minutes. Why should I spend so much money on things I don't want, just for looking nicer?

I don't like buying things I don't need! Buying things just to look nicer is crazy and won't happen! With shoes and other stuff, like clothes!

Most of the time i will wear flip flops i live in south florida so i buy one pair of sneakers a year and stick to those and i probably still have ones from a couple years ago that are fine and there is nothing wrong with them and flip flops dont cost much at all so i rarely ever spend money on shoes. Now two weeks ago i bought two pairs of shoes, a valentines present and some socks and i think PJ pants for all under 40 dollars or around there so i can do pretty good shopping if i shop at the right stores. I like stuff but its also important to not spend alot of the silly things in lfie and pay your bills and to stay focused on other things in life.

I live in Wisconsin so I can't wear flip flops even if I could! I don't like the thong inbetween my toes! I don't like buying alot of stuff, besides shoes, only when I need them! I try to buy them on sale or at least at a cheap price, like at Wlamart! Unless my feet get really bad I will stay with the cheaper or free shoes!

I agree with you. I won't spend too much on shoes although I love shoes. My shoes even cost less than 40 dollars! :D With that much money, I can buy even more than 3 pairs!! Lol. But I have this dream that I will buy a pair of shoes that cost about 40 dollars. Even just one pair, at least I have one. :)

It's very expensive, I don't spend a lot on shoes either. My problem is, here when I get cheaper shoes I always find that I can't wear them for more than a few months or maybe a year. They always break or they get holes in them and they can't be mended, I have to throw them away. This is also a waste of money. If I had enough money I would buy some nice comfortable leather shoes that could be worn for many occasions, and would last long, but nothing fancy.

I have been buying cheap sneakers and they last me a year or so. I have found free shoes thrown out by one of the cooks in the kitchen I work at who loves to do this because she loves to spend money on expensive shoes! I did buy a pair of sneakser for over sixty bucks and was going to use them for my job. Well I ended up using them for my weekend job which didn't make me to thrilled! Not doing that again!

I don't have very many pairs of shoes, I'm not a 'shoe type of girl' at all. I have what I need, practically and that is it. For those reasons, the shoes I buy are all fairly cheap - €30 at the very most, but I prefer not to spend over €20 if I can help it.

Although I am a huge fan of stiletto shoes, read shoes, high-heeled shoes, etc., I only like watching them or browsing through their images but not to purchase them, especially if they are very expensive.

One of the woman I work with has no problem spending money on shoes, handbags and chasmere sweaters! Right now I am wearing a pair of her shoes she throw out and I found in the bathroom trash! This has not been the first time and we wear the samne sizes! She used to give me her old shoes! Why she doesn't anymore I have no idea!
