in Philippine culture, we have many superstitious beliefs. I grew up with this. You need to turn the plates when someone leave the house when dinner is not done yet, never sweep the dust at night off the door. Its all for the reason of giving good vibe and away from harm. So many that it raise questions does it affect everyday life or do u ever practice these beliefs? Which one u know that you still follow or your parents apply? Thank you.

There are a lot of them in India too. To name a few: Do not sweep the house in the evening, do not start any good things on a tuesday, dont go to a hair cut on tuesday, if youre going somewhere and while leaving if a cat passes your way, abandon that work on the particular day.. and really a lot lot more. we do follow quite a few in our house. of course it affects everyday life in some way or the other. But in the end, its still a belief and we just continue to follow.. :) :)
