Hey Oh... the Green Day experience

I remember last Jan 2010, I was able to catch Green Day live in Hong Kong. It is one of the best concerts I have experienced. There is a lot of stage diving, and yelling "Hey OH!" Billy Joe Armstrong is not only a good singer, but also a good comedian. The acoustic songs were left for the last part. "21 Guns" and "Time of your life" are so amazing specially when you get the chance to sing along with the artist. What's your favorite Green Day song when they play live?

The first time I saw Green Day I thought they were awesome. They had a solid show with a good mix between songs and entertaining the audience. I think my favourite song was Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. However last time I saw them it sucked. The show was too long for the end of a festival and we got no songs for at least 45 minutes because they insisted on bringing all these 12 year olds on stage. While that's a lot of fun for those kids, the rest of the people got bored really fast. It honestly wasn't much of a concert anymore...

45 minutes without music? I might be bored as well if it takes that long.

Well 45min without an actual song, except for the one the fangirls got to sing (which was of course horrible). I get that they want to have a lot of interaction with the audience, but they kinda forgot that we're there for the music.

Never seen them live in concert. I do like a lot of their music though. Picking a favorite is tough though. I like "Wake Me Up When September Ends", "Time of Your Life", "Holiday" and I could go on for a bit. I don't know if they'll ever come around to my neck of the woods though.
