Have you already checked your unresolved discussions?

I know that I am not posting too many discussions because I don't know so many topics to post. I was surprised when I checked my unresolved discussions this morning. They are already six pages! I realized that it's not really advisable to select the best response after a decade.
I feel it's already been a decade since I posted them. I need to review all the comments before I can decide whose comment is the best. I am already having a headache, so I stopped. I'll go back to this tomorrow if I'm still in the mood. If not, maybe next week. How sad!

Hi witty,
I am pretty much guilty of that too. Guess I didn't start as many discussions as you as I only have 3 pages of unresolved. If you are concerned, try to give a few best responses a day. Make an effort to clear. If you find it too tedious, start with those with lesser responses. Good luck!

I never thought they're already six pages.
I am not always posting discussions.
Yes. I reviewed three to five discussions just this morning. I also found out that there are additional comments which I never noticed before. I didn't receive any notifications.

hi wittynet second time response oh dear no and I am sure I have about that many too as its been awhile. I was ill part of Dec and all of January so am healthy again so maybe I can catch up on the unresolved discussions now.I do not understand the problem you all have picking best responses. its not rocket science and it does not pay anyhone for doing.just pick the one that you think bests respnds'to your discussion, then let it go. dont stress on it as mylottiong should be fun and enjoyable not a chore. so now I need to see to my own brs too.

best response would be subjective I think, even if I think mine is the best, the poster might not agree right?
p.s, I think mine are always the best, why do I not get so many BRs? *pout*

Hello, Hatley.
I got your point, but I want to always choose the best. I need to double-check all the answers before I choose the best. That way, I'll be giving the award to the most deserving one. What would you feel if it's very obvious that your comment is the best, but you didn't receive the award? Wouldn't you get hurt?

I agree with you, bluemoonpavilion. We also know that sometimes it's very obvious that others answers are better than ours. We should accept that. Yes. It's always the poster who will choose the best. In my case, before I choose the best, I review all answers. There are comments which are not really related to the topic. There are also comments telling you that they do not know anything about the topic. Of course, I am not getting mad. Of course, we don't know everything. It's expected. In this case, I can never give them the award. I'll choose the comment which really covers the topic. There are also people here who sometimes give more than enough information, and I appreciate that much.1 person likes this

I went years and never left best responses. One day I went through all the unresolved discussion that I had written and after page 5 I went through about 20 other pages lol and the discussions that had 5 comments or more I chose a best response. Sometimes its hard to decide who to give it to when so many leave such great comments. Now everytime I write a new discussion I go to page 5 in my unresolved discussions and see what discussions have 5 comments or more and choose a best response. I dont do the pages before 5 as they are newer and I want lots of people to have time to write a comment before I give away the best response.

I agree with you, airkulet. It is not advisable to post discussions if we have limited time here in myLot. The main purpose of posting a discussion is of course to discuss. It's impossible for us to respond to each comment if we don't have enough time, few hours, take for example. MyLotters will also get disappointed if we're not responding to them.

we have the same sentiments thaMARKER I rather enjoy responding than choosing the best answer, and it almost ages since I receive one. I also seldom posting topics as well because as you can see I may be busy from to time that I only need a little peek here on mylot

I agree with you. It's so difficult to give the best response if you don't feel it's the best. In my case, I have received many great answers. They deserve to be awarded.
Yes. I think most of us have more responses than discussions. It's easier to respond because we already have guides. The discussion is the guide. A simple question can be posted under one's discussion.
Are you also working on tasks?

Well, I know that if you were to check the discussions that I have started you would find more than 6 pages of Unresolved discussions but I have been trying to go thru and resolve some of them when I can. If they are older no longer suitable I go choose an answer without responding back but if it is something of importance, I respond back and hope for the Best from there.

Well, you must know that I am after about 1 year and a half, I have written "tons" of discussions, but to be honest, only in rare circumstances I was able to assign them the "best answer". This for the reason that if for example 2 or more users write a good answer, how to decide which one is best? Clearly the one who will not have the privilege of receiving the best answer I believe that there remains sad.
Sure, maybe in order of priority, I could assign the "best" at first that the correct answer to my question.

Well it is not necessary to put a best response in case of every discussion. While it might be my views which may diffre from yours. I only put the best response to the discussions made by me when i feel yeah it had hit the bull's eye.
Now if you want to put best response for each discussion you made you must do it in you future discussion but puting the same for past discussion which you say is having quite long time it not meanigfull. Even the best respons getting will not feel good that much(may he be). Well it's all your decision what to do.

I agree with you. We're not required to choose the best answer, but because there's an option like that, I would like to make use of it.
Yes. I agree with you that it's not practical to go back to old discussions, review them, and pick the best response. But I feel not unless I finish this, I'll not be contented. I am always bothered by the fact that there are unresolved discussions on my end. I am not considering this a big deal, but I can't take them out of my mind.

I do checked them out because whenever it was updated I can see it on my home in mylot, I have this menu of started discussion where it will became bolder and the number of respondents are increase, so I know that somebody here in mylot have replied on my discussions, you probably had a huge starting discussions than I am, that's why.

I just recently joined mylot and haven't started any discussions so far as I can't think of a good quality topic for it. However, I can understand not having the motivation to pick the best answer for old unresolved discussions and how they can be time consuming now with reading all the comments before picking the best answer...
