It is an obvious fact that an IT graduate or even a deplomat of IT earns more than other people having same or higher qualifications. In most countries, the salary of a recently passed out IT graduate is higher than an Engineer or a Doctor with few year experiance. What is the reason behind this ?.

Witht the ever increasing reliance on the IT industry, the IT workers have become just as, if not more important than a Doctor. In alot of ways the IT person is a doctor of computers. Without IT, alot of our resources and improvements to the way we do things would regress, or even stop functioning. Take for example, a Doctors office. Without computers to keep track of appointments, medications for patients, and many other things, we would be back to where we were 50 years ago. I don't want that, and I'm sure others don't either. So, enter the IT worker with a degree to make sure those computers stay functioning. They are the "keystone" in alot of businesses and without them, the whole thing colapses.
