My dog

Gizmo is his name and I love him dearly. He's such a baby, though, sometimes because he whines when he's left alone and he gets excited and pees in the house sometimes. My husband got him for me a few years ago because I told him that I needed a walking partner and since he works all the time and doesn't really like walking, he got me the dog. I am glad to have him because he is good company although I should walk with him more like I did the first few years when we lived near a lake. I liked walking with him there better, I suppose that's why I don't much care to walk in this city. You have to clean up after your dog or face a fine and so on. I like the country scenery better too instead seeing of house after house, like here in the city. My dog is one of the main characters in a series of mystery stories I wrote. He is not much of a hound dog though like the character in my story who can sniff out clues and so on. My dog mostly just smells other dogs then has to pee there, you know. Gizmo is his given name by his previous owners but my husband and I call him puppy or pooper because he poops a lot especially when he goes for walks, for a little dog he sure poops a lot. The picture you see here on My Lot with my name is him, isn't he cute? Share stories about your dogs or cats or whatever pets you may have, my lot friends!

I loved your story about Gizmo. I know it can be a challenge to walk him when there is a city especially after living in the country. Is there a park nearby? I take mine to the park and I am lucky that I have a greenbelt where I live and can take my boy Blaze, a jack russell terrier, there as often as the rain hasn't been coming down a lot. The last few days it sure has been, and I start to feel really guilty for not taking him for more than just a piddle outside, you know? Blaze is my 6 year old JRT and I absolutely adore him. He is the fur baby I never could have as a human. He was born from my one and only litter that my ex and I had. I was there when he was born and he just had this calm spirit about him. He isn't like your classic JRT's where they can be super hyper all the time, oh trust me he has his moments, and you will be sure to laugh your butt off, but overall he is a calm spirit. He chose me, just like his sister did and at one point we had 4 JRT's LOL! We only had 3 live pups and one stillborn. The other pup we did adopt out and last I heard he was flourishing quite happily :). Blaze has a love of squirrels and anything rodent! He is quite the character when on the chase, and when we lived on the farm, he and his mom and sister all would go and hunt mice and squirrels. The thrill of the chase was always their "thing", but if one was killed, they suddenly got bored, lol. Blaze and his other buddy Rizzo (who I had to put down in December of last year at the age of 11 1/2) who is also his best friend. It has been difficult without Rizzie here, but watching Blaze be his true self out in the park or in the greenbelt, makes each day a little easier. Oh and Gizmo is adorable!

wow. dog stories are always amazing and amusing :) i have 3 dogs (one's a poodle terrier, a japanese spitz and a golden lab) and all three of them drive me and my husband nuts lol they've got different personalities but they get along well (sometimes tehe) Sneakers,my poodle terrier is gentle (for a male breed like him that's a plenty) Suri my japanese pitz aka maldita haponesa coz she's nasty specially when she sees rats. she's gonna make a ping-pong ball out of them heheh and trixy, my baby lab is just TOO playful. I'm not the sporty type but when we got her, we got no choice but to like sports. she just love balls too much! basketBALL, footBALL, volleyBALL. as long as a ball is involved, you will never get a hold of it :D

Gizmo sounds like a great dog friend. He is very cute. I can understand what you mean about not wanting to walk him in the city. It's nice to walk your dog where it's quiet and they are allowed more room to check things out. I'd also rather walk where there is trees and nice scenery rather than a busy area with tons of people, buildings, and cars. I really wish that I could have another dog. I am not allowed pets where I live, but I would love to have a dog for my little girl. She absolutely loves dogs and has learned to play so gently with them, it would be nice for her to have a little furry friend.
