I just saw 'The Iron Lady' about Margaret Thatcher, on Thurs., & it was great! Merryl Streep looks just like her & sounds like her with the high pitched English accent & her mannerisms. It shows the chaotic mind in her later years as she got dementia & has flashbacks of her life & career & keeps imaginging her husband Dennis is talking to her, even though he died at some point in her later life. Since we don't know what year in her later life all this is happening, we get to see how she views the world, through flashbacks knowing the year for each one, but don't know the other years later on, as she forgets herself what year it is. But her wisdom still prevails of what is right. It's only her memory that is failing not her wisdom. This film is a triumph for Merryl Streep pulling it off perfectly as Margaret Thatcher, but mostly a triumph of the legacy of Margaret Thatcher in thinking right & doing what is right no matter what the odds!

I've never even heard of that movie but Merryl Streep is very talented. She is such a great actress. I may enjoy this movie because she is in it and I know the roles she plays will be good ones. She puts so much into the characters that she plays. I watched Julie & Julia a few months back and that was a movie that Merryl Streep played Julia Child.
